Edward: I told you I’d look out for you.
Sonny: I'll have this overturned. Carly’s pregnant. I’m the father. I’ll see her whenever I want.
Edward: You try and I will take great pleasure in being the one who finally sends you to jail.
Sonny: This has nothing to do with you, Edward. It’s between Carly and me.
Edward: Carly is a Quartermaine, and I am just protecting my family, which shouldn’t be difficult considering the fact that you kidnapped the poor girl tonight.
Sonny: Oh, come on.
Carly: Edward, Sonny did not kidnap me.
Edward: He saw you at the hospital, and he coerced you into coming here with him. Now, I’m going to make sure that the court knows about this, and I’ve half a mind to call the police right now.
Carly: You can’t call the police because that’s not what happened. I came to see Sonny on my own.
Edward: Only because he threatened you.
Carly: He did not threaten me. It was nothing like that.
Edward: You don’t have to be afraid of him anymore, dear.
Carly: I'm not afraid of Sonny.The only thing he did was make me an omelet.
Sonny: The only one breaking the law is you. You’re trespassing. If you don’t get out of here, I’m going to call the cops.
Edward: Oh, I’ll be glad to go...with my Granddaughter-in-law.
Sonny: Carly isn’t going anywhere because the two of us haven’t finished discussing our child.
Edward: No, Carly’s done. You see, she has another child at home, and it isn’t a good idea for her to be gone from Michael for too long a period of time because people might accuse her of being neglectful mother.
Sonny: Oh, come on. That’s a lie. You know, you don’t have to go along with this, Carly. He’s just trying to blackmail you.
Edward: Coming from you, that’s almost funny. You take a look at that restraining order. It’s very real. Now, you approach Carly and you will be arrested immediately. And it will please me immeasurably because it will destroy any hope you have of claiming this child. Come on, my dear. Let’s go.
Carly: Bye, Johnny.
Edward: Get out of our way.
Carly: Why did you do that, Edward? I was starting to get somewhere with him.
Edward: Clearly you have no idea how treacherous Sonny is. Now, you need protection, and I’m going to make sure that you are protected.
