Sonny: Hey, Michael. You know what you have to do witha kite? You know what you have to do with a kite? You got to tie a long string to it, b ut you got to watch out for the trees, because, you know, the kite could get stuck. [Carly has been watching Sonny with Michael and has a sad look on her face.]
Carly: Do you want a kite, Michael? Hmm? If you want, we could get him one, but I think he had one, but I think he probably forgot about it.
Sonny: [Sonny thinks a minute before saying...] Chaiken's.
Carly: What-ken's?
Sonny: That's where you get the kite. Chaiken's Fourth and pine. [Carly smiles]
Carly: Thanks for being so sweet to my son.
Sonny: Well, you know, how can anybody not be? This little boy is the sweetest thing I've ever seen in my life. [Sonny makes a clicking sound.] Hey. [Sonny laughs.]
Carly: Michael seems to be having fun. He's eating his train.
Sonny: He's a kid. He's supposed to.
Carly: He hasn't had a whole lot of that lately, you know?
Sonny: Misses his dad, huh? His real father, Jason.
Carly: It's kind of getting cold, huh?
Sonny: Yeah, his cheeks look kind of red. You'd better get him home.
[Bobbie comes upon the two sitting there with Michael and looks surprised.]
Bobbie: Well, hi. You are here. Leticia said you were, but I wasn't sure. Sorry. I'm obviously interrupting.
Sonny: Oh, Carly and Michael were just going home, actually.
Carly: Yeah, actually, you know what? Reginald's waiting, so...[Carly looks uncomfortable and nervous.]
Sonny: Well, you'd better be getting home.
Carly: You know what, though? I don't know what I'm thinking. Reginald's job is to wait. Michael, look. Hey, honey. Say hi to your Grandma. She's over here.
Bobbie: Hey.
Carly: Do you want Grandma to push you on the swing?
Sonny: Carly, the kid must be freezing.
Bobbie: He does look kind of cold.
Carly: Well...why don't you come with us, and we'll drop you.
Bobbie: No, that's ok. I'll call you. I have my car.
Carly: Oh. Ok. Well, then...Michael, why don't you say goodbye to Sonny.
Sonny: Bye, Michael. Michael? You don't care.
[Carly laughs.]
Carly: Kids, you know. Say bye-bye to Grandma, huh?
Bobbie: Bye, honey. Bye. It was good to see you. Bye. [Carly leaves.]
Sonny: Hello.
Bobbie: Hi. You two seem to be getting along.
Sonny: Michael and I usually do.
Bobbie: You know very well I meant Carly. And I'm glad, for the baby's sake.
