January 18, 2000Carly: Johnny. Where's Jason? Is he with Sonny?
Johnny: Mr. Corinthos doesn't want to be disturbed.
Carly: Mr. Corinthos will get over it.
Johnny: I really can't.
Carly: You know what? I've been pounding on Jason's door. Do you want me to pound on Sonny's door now? [Knocks on door.]
Sonny: Yeah.
JOHNNY: Mr. Corinthos...
Carly: Where's Jason?
Sonny: He's gone.
Carly: Sonny, I need to see him.
Sonny: Well, Jason isn't coming back.

Carly: He's not gone. I saw him this afternoon.
Sonny: You don't listen, do you?
Carly: Look, I don't have time for your games, OK? I need to see Jason. I need to find him. You know where he is, so why don't you just tell me?
Sonny: Why would I know where Jason is?
Carly: Did he get arrested or what?
Sonny: No.
Carly: Is he hurt?
Sonny: Well, he looked fine to me.
Carly: So, what, he just went off to think? He went to the island to think? Is that...is he probably on his way, headed to some beach right now?
Sonny: I don't know.
Carly: Well, he wouldn't just leave. He told me he loved he today. Just a few hours ago, this afternoon.
Sonny: So what?
Carly: Sonny, why are you being like this?
Sonny: You ever think maybe he was telling you good-bye?
Carly: No. You know what I think? I think that Jason and I have a real chance, whether you like it or not.
Sonny: Oh.
Carly: You need to deal with it. And I think you know where he is and you need to tell me and you need to tell me now.
Sonny: Jason left you.

Sonny: He's gone just the same.
Carly: Sonny, I'm in a lot of trouble. I really, really need you to help me. Please.
Sonny: Sorry. I can't help you, little girl.
Carly: It's really worse than you could ever imagine. Please?
Sonny: Jason doesn't want you to find him.
Carly: Yes he does, ok? In his heart, I know that he does.
Sonny: Jason left because of you!
Carly: Jason didn't leave because of me.
Sonny: He told me himself.
Carly: Well, you know what? That's funny, because you know what he told me out on the docks just a little while ago? That I was strong and brave and that we'd always be the best of friends. So...
Sonny: Don't you know goodbye when you hear it, Carly?
Carly: Jason would never just leave.
Sonny: He just did!
Carly: You don't get me and Jason, Ok? Nobody does. When I screw up, when I'm wrong, I do things that are crazy, he understands. You know, he forgives me. He just does. I know if I could just...you know, if I could just see him...and if you know where he is...
Sonny: Why would I tell you? So you can drag Michael to him, Huh? Make him come back where he doesn't want to be?
Carly: Jason loves me. We were just starting to get back, you know?
Sonny: You ruined Jason's life.
Carly: Is that what he told you?
Sonny: Just when Jason got close to what he wanted, you took it away. You made him want a family, then you wouldn't let him have that. You gave him Michael, then you took Michael back. And just when Jason started to love you, you had to mess that up. Carly: What? I didn't go up those stairs by myself, did I?
Sonny: At least Jason got away. Michael can't. If not for you, Michael would be with Jason on the island right now, on the beach, swimming in the ocean. You'd be there, too, you know? One big happy family.
Carly: That's all I want.
Sonny: That's all you want? But you can't have it! Neither will your son. That kid doesn't stand a chance in hell with a mother like you. You're going to ruin his life, if you haven't already. Jason didn't want to stand by and watch that happen. I don't blame him. Now get out of here.
Carly: If he calls, you know, just...
Sonny: Jason's not going to call. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not...
Carly: Well, if he does, tell him that I need to...
Sonny: You're the reason he left. I told you that a thousand times.
Carly: You need to stop saying that to me. Please.
Sonny: All right. I'll tell you...I'll give you this. You had a little help from me.
