Sonny and Carly

March 20, 2000

Carly: Johnny, is there any news about my mother?

Sonny: Let’s...can we just get inside?

Carly: Could you just stop telling me what to do, Sonny?

Sonny: [To Johnny] I want you to find DiLucca, bring him here.

Carly: I want my mother safe, Sonny.

Sonny: I told you, Bobbie was grabbed to get my attention. Once I speak to Sorel, it’s over.

Carly: How did this happen in the first place? You’ve got guards on Elizabeth Webber, but you don’t have them on my mother? I’ll tell you what...if Jason was here, this never would’ve happened.

[Carly picks up the phone.]

Sonny: Enough, now! Hang up the phone, Carly.

Carly: I am calling the police, Sonny! You don’t know where Bobbie is. You don’t know what Sorel’s doing to her. That man shot Jason, didn’t he? Mac Scorpio is a friend of Bobbie’s.

Sonny: The police are going to get your mother killed.

[They stare at each other. Carly puts down the phone and puts her hand to her head.]

Carly: I'm afraid. I don’t just love Bobbie, I need her. You’ve got to bring her home. Safe. Promise me. Promise me.

Sonny: I will.

Carly: Promise? Promise me, ok?

[They hug.]

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sonny: All right. You’d better go upstairs, see Michael, get some rest, all right? You got a baby to think about.

Carly: I’m not going to be able to sleep. Okay. If anything happens, I want you to come upstairs and you tell me right away.

Sonny: I will. Sorel’s not going to hurt Bobbie. To him, this is a business tactic, not a war.

Carly: He could use Bobbie to start a war, though, right? Isn’t that how these things get started?

Sonny: Bobbie's not going to get hurt. I mean that. You got to trust me on this, ok?

Carly: Yeah.

[Knock on door]

Sonny: Yeah?

Johnny: DiLucca’s here.

Roy: Nice of you to come back from vacation. You made contact with Sorel?

Sonny: Bobbie's daughter is upstairs. Keep your voice down. What the hell happened to you?

Roy: I found Bobbie.

Sonny: Well, that’s dangerous and stupid.

Roy: Yeah, well, I know where she is. I know where she is and I know they haven’t touched her yet.

Sonny: No, you mean you know where she was. Now Sorel knows that one of my employees doesn’t take orders.

Roy: Well, I asked Benny to get in touch with you. You’ll be happy to know that he follows orders real well. He turned me down cold, and I wasn’t going to sit around and wait. What did Sorel have to say about it?

Sonny: I haven’t spoken to him. What’d he say to you at the meeting?

Roy: That he wanted you to move his product.

Sonny: Well, that’s not going to happen.

[Carly comes back downstairs.]

Carly: What’s not going to happen? Oh, my God. Roy, did you meet Sorel about a ransom? What’s going on, Sonny? Are you refusing to pay? You have to do whatever that man say.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sonny: Carly, you know, you have to calm down.

Carly: No.

Sonny: Roy saw Bobbie. She’s all right. Now, if you stay cool, then you can listen to his report.

Carly: Ok.

Sonny: Ok.

Carly: Sorel do this to you?

Roy: Yeah, I found Bobbie, and she’s not hurt. I just..I couldn’t get her away because I got jumped.

Carly: What happened to my mother?

Roy: When I came to, she was gone. But I was there and I...I talked to her. I know they’re not going to hurt her.

Carly: Ok.

Roy: Yeah.

Carly: Thank you. You want to sit down and I can fix that cut...

Roy: No, it’s...

Sonny: No, no, let her help. Let her help. Carly, downstairs bathroom, right-hand side of the cabinet there’s some stuff. Go...

Carly: Ok.

Sonny: Now she’s upset. You know? She’s pregnant. I don’t want her getting any more upset than necessary. I want to know everything. How did you know where to look?

[While Carly is gone, Sonny and Roy talk about how Bobbie could found out about Roy’s meeting with Sorel. Carly returns and begins to treat Roy. Finally, Sonny asks Carly...]

Sonny: How could she have tracked down that address? I mean, I..I put it ina note. It’s...you know? It would’ve been the day before we left to get your divorce. Bobbie stopped by here, didn’t she, Carly?

Carly: I don’t know.

Sonny: What do you mean you don’t know?

Carly: I'm not very good with keeping track of dates.

Roy: [To Sonny.] So, how you going to play it? You going to...you going to call Sorel?

Sonny: Well, I mean, first I have to find out if we have a leak. You know? I don’t know. It’s crazy. I mean, if Bobbie was in here alone, I keep my desk locked. And there’s only two people who know, you know, where I keep the key. That’s me and...I don't know, whatever.

Carly: Ok, I did it.

Sonny: Huh? You what?

Carly: I did it.

Sonny: Yeah?

Carly: Bobbie came by and she was asking me for help, and I unlocked your stupid desk. I gave her the address. What was I supposed to say? She never asked me for anything. Look, I told you me living here wasn’t a good idea.
