My Own World
By Todd DTP

Hello all, how ya doin? First off, let me apologize for this "issue" (meaning round of updates) took so damn long to get up. I became busy as hell, so i didn't have time to do the page. Won't happen again more than once. Seriously. Anyways, We were on the last leg of the Rod tour diary when i last left you, so here it is, in nice short condensed form:

After Columbus we went up to Cleveland, which was a really rad show. Someday I opened the show, were pretty good. Rod played next, rocked. The Unknown came on and rocked my nuts off. Some crappy band stuck in the bad part of the 70's was on next. After them was a HORRIBLE band, during which i actually VOLUNTEERED to help load the van. After the show we went to Brian's house (of The Unknown) where i was told "catch up" by Drunken Ken. I did, and the course of night went as follows:
Drunk Chris shows Drunk Mark how to play Unknown songs.
Drunk Wayne shows old pictures of him and chris, and plays the "change" album a lot.
Drunk Brian and Drunk Paul play bass.
Drunk Kevin plays drums on himself to Drunk Mark and Drunk Chris playing guitar.
Drunk Todd talks to Drunk Frenchy, about all sorts of stuff, fun fun night.
It was about this time that Allene, Brian's wife, introduces me to Tequiza. Tequiza is good. Too good. I drink too much, have a rock star moment MUCH later on in the night, and that's that. Woke up the next morning and set a course to North Canton. The Portsmouth show was cancelled so we spent the day off in North Canton with Kev and Paul's families. IT is a fun night, Mrs. Feltz (paul's mom) treats me and mark to dinner, during which she asks about Paul's girlfriend:
"How is your girlfriend, dear?"
"baby got a viscious ass"
"what dear?"
"she's good, mom."
"oh, ok." Fun times. The next night is Akron. At a house. We get there and there is NO one there. WE see two girls walking around and someone (i think kevin) makes a joke to invite them in. Paul does so, and we have two girls in the van. We proceed to make small talk, and ask them what grade they are in. "9th....well, next year we will be." Oh man. They leave the van shortly afterwards and we talk about what asses we were for having them in the van. I mean, really...damn were they young. Oh well, it makes for a funny story. The show goes well, Foolproof, a band we played with were AWESOME. After the show i slept at Kevin's, and me and him sat up drinking Budweiser and shit-talking the Broccoli industry. We woke up the next morning and went back over the Paul's house to pick up Mark and Paul, and were surprised when they sat us down and we partook in the Rod Family Christmas. We all got gifts, i got a Mr. Bungle CD. It was a very touching moment, and after much hugging and kissing and praising of the cucumber industry we hopped in the turd to make the super long 3 or 4 hour trip to Franklin PA. We got in steadfast time, after stopping to get some food. We hung out with some old friends before the show, and i sat my ass at the merch table like usual. I met my friend Julie there, and we had a nice time sitting and making fun of each other and hitting each other. After the show we went to Tracy's (She who put on the show and who was putting us up). She had a party with all the bands that played that night. Two of the bands stuck together and talked about themselves the whole night in rock star fashion. Mark and Kevin went to bed early. This left me, Paul, Tracy, and...the blonde girl (i'm bad with names) to sit around in the kitchen getting shitfaced and talking. After a few hours i finally went to bed on the cold kitchen floor, alone in my sleeping bag as i coughed my lungs up because the cold i had harbored the couple of days before was finally hitting me in full effect. I swear, had someone been videotaping, it would have made one of those perfect "old man dying alone and cold" scenes. Though, i wasn't old, nor dying. Oh well.
And the next day we went home, and i returned to work. And THAT was the tour! All in all a GREAT experience, and i can't wait until i can go on one again.

But enough of the past, let's talk about the PRESENT! Oh yea, i forgot...nothing is going on now...
Until Next Time!
Todd.
