Bad n' Rad
The Skate or Die series makes a short lived return on the Gameboy. And while the variety of anitcs might satisfy some skate fans other players might find it a little too repetitive. For the most part you're just manuvering your skater around objects that can knock him down. Now this would have been okay if every level didn't play the same or if there wasn't any repetitiveness to avoiding objects. It just lacks that flair & any sense of challenge that makes these kinds of games so interesting. Take a look at the MegaMan & the X series. Nearly everyone of those games play the same, but each one boasts a genuine test & serious enjoyment unlike this title. I will give Konami credit for coming up with different view points such as overhead & sideview, but it does very little to break up the monotonous action. What this game really needs is variety in the gameplay department. And some really different levels & themes. Otherwise, it's a simple little Gameboy game that will can entertain folks for about 5 or 10 minutes.
