Maximum Carnage

I always thought that Maximum Carnage was one of the better Spider-Man games. But the Genesis version of this game is just a step behind the SNES rev. The gameplay is the same in both versions. A majority of the game is about side-scrolling brawling. With a few "extra" stages in between to mix things up. Such as the "Wall Climbing" Stage where you web-swing from building to building and avoid blasts. You eventually get to choose between Spider-Man and Venom for certain stages. And your choice will result in some minor story changes, but its nothing major. The differences occur in the graphics and sound departments. Though the graphics are stylish, the cut-scenes look a bit more pixelated than the SNES. The sound takes a big hit, with Green Jelly's tunes losing a lot of bass and trademark sounds. But that's a problem mainly due to the Genesis's limited sound  capabilities. If you got a Genesis and need a Spider-Man title, this definitely wouldn't hurt. But the Maximum Carnage on the SNES is a much more polished title.
