Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Now if you're looking for a classic example of how NES games were, then TMNT is it. It showcases everything that was found in a typical NES title. With enthralling gameplay that easily outshined the low key graphics. Despite being a little cumbersome at times, this game offered a wide range of play styles. Such as 2D platforming, driving, swimming, & so many other little niches that keep the game fresh & interesting. It's just by today's standards, what was once so fun now seems kinda cliche. Like, How many other games have we seen the same thing before? At the very least it's nostalgic & mildly entertaining. Only if so many other games didn't copy the format. Sadly, I can't say much about the graphics. They are too detailed & therefore look mushy & ugly. And the animation just looks plain stiff. I thought these guys were ninjas, not manequins. Oh well, at least the screen-filling Technodrome at the end of the game was quite a surprise. If anything, TMNT is an average game that only former fans of the Turtles will enjoy for it's nostalgic feel.
