TMNT 2: the Arcade Game
The sequel to TMNT is based off the Arcade Game (thus the title, duh!). So with it comes prettier graphics & a clean arcade feel. As to oppose every 2D platform game out there, TMNT2 decided to take the Double Dragon route. Which turned this simple game into a massive romp-fest. Where 1 or 2 Players can beat the crap out of as Foot Soilders as they want. Not to mention battle some truly classic villians (Shredder is just too cool). The game was just incredibly fun (especially with 2 players) & almost addictive. I remember playing it constantly. Sadly, the game will wear out on you eventually. Doing the same thing over & over can get tedious & the lack of a strong challenge kinda kills the ride. Luckily, the graphics took a turn for the best. As everything became wildly animated. The first stage features a spralling fire blaze. The creators even went as far as too add in-stage jokes & pranks that give this title the laid back & cartoonish theme it should have had in the first game. Talk about personality. As a whole it's just like an arcade. Fun & Addictive for the mean time. But it does & will lose it's charms after hours of constant play. Still you can't help but love this classic NES title.
