3Xtreme

Jeez, as bad as the second game was I still rather playing that instead of this horrid title. What 3xtreme offers in presentation & special bonuses just doesn't justify the poor the game that lies inside it. The gameplay falls terribly short of exciting. Especially when you've seen the same style in other racing games done way better. Sadly the ability to pull off stunts & to hit other players doesn't make it anymore fun. There's never really any reason to pull off stunts especially since the courses hardly allow for it. On top of that the levels are really long so most of the time you're bored as you slowly race to the goal. All you're getting is a watered down version of Cool Boarders 3. Another unforgivable fact is the completely shaudy graphics. They don't even stand on par with first generation PSX titles. Slow frame rate & super blocky graphics just put the bullet in the head of this dying bast*rd. What is nice, is the fact that there is some really cool skateboarding crash footage & even a music video for some punk band (haven't really heard of them, but they do sound good). But like I said, it's only sweet icing on top of a mud pie. Don't even think about wasting your time with this title. There is better Xtreme-style games out! Namely Cool Boarders 3 if you are looking for one.
