Ghost in the Shell

Here's a hard one to describe. It's basically a third person, 3D shooter. Sorta like Doom, but with Mechas & Androids. It's not that fast paced & you're given huge levels to explore. Unfortunately the levels hold little to no secrets. Talk about a waste of time searching around. You can't really find new weapons or anything so the gameplay can & does get boring. And Ghost is relatively easy. Pros will be able to blow their way through this in no time. However there's so many other things that just makes this game likable. The most obvious being the incredible Anime FMV cut scenes. We're talking about smooth, detailed movie quality animation. The soundtrack is also done with a blurring, fast beat techno taste. Finally some decent techno music in a video game. And I can't get enough of that shooting gallery/training area that you can select at the beginning. It's fast & exciting, which the game should have been. I wouldn't buy this title for the game alone. The bueatiful & original animation coupled with the soundtrack is the real reason anyone should even look at this. Just think of it as a VCD (video CD for the newbies).
