Mega Man 8

This is a fine addition to the Mega Man series originally started on the NES. The graphics obviously benefit the most with the jump from 8-bit to 32-bit. This time around nearly everything is animated like a top-notch cartoon. Even the colors are a lot brighter & flashier giving the game such a light-heared look & feel. Not to mention that there are so many more characters on screen to blow up. Capcom even managed to add a plot that's told through some pretty long, but way cool anime cut-scenes. The play remains pretty much the same, but it works incredibly well for this type of game. The only change has been the addition to collect screws & bolts and trade them in for various upgrades. Like energy tanks, a shield, and a laser-enhanced mega buster among other items. The new feature actually adds a lot of fun to the game. In a way it's like customizing your Mega Man. Every time you play through, you're bound to come up with a character who plays a little different (in upgrade terms). The game is still relatively easy & will probably take only a couple of hours to play through. Younger kids will definitely have their work cut out for them. This game is a nearly perfect version of the original view of the Mega Man game. Granted the voices are a little too kiddy & annoying, everything else is in place. Some people will complain about the fact that it is virtually every Mega Man game before it. But no matter how many versions I try, I still think the game is fun to play. Check it out sometime.
