Crash Bandicoot

Classic platform gaming returns on the Playstation with this interesting title. Get ready for lots of platform jumping and fruit/diamond collecting (ala Mario). I know it doesn't sound very exciting (and it can be monotonous at times), but the real fun comes in the challenge of it all. Something that you don't find in alot of these easy games these days. A majority of the stages require quick reflexes and good timing if you're gonna advance. But don't be expecting anything out of the norm. Because Bandicoot isn't breaking any boundaries, it's just bringing classic play back into the limelight.

Crash has got quite a personality and loads of eye-candy too. The look takes on the features of a cartoon. Featuring bright colors and a whacky cast of animated characters. Stage design is also very good and full of detail. They also added a vertical camera where Crash can move up into the background or down in the foreground. It's a prime example of what can be done with the Playstation's capabilities.

It's a fun little game especially when you can pick up a copy for less than $20 at most stores. Crash Bandicoot brings back everything I use to love about the classic platforming games available on the old NES and SNES systems. Just with better graphics and the fact that it's readily available for your PSX.
