DISRUPTOR
This 'Doom'-wannabe comes from Universal Studios. While it might not bring much new into the genre, it does prove that the movie studio has what it takes to make a pretty decent game. As in ture 'Doom' fashion, the game plays from a first-person perspective. Your goal is to make it out alive using any weapon you can find. Of course there's lot's of places to explore & loads of secrets & puzzles to solve as well. The puzzles usually show up as the "find the button to open a door" type stuff. The graphics are generally good with lot's of eerie atmosphere utilizing the infamous 'N64 Fog'. It keeps the enemies hidden all while making the terrain ominous. It's just that the characters are made using traditional sprites would become pixelated as heck when up close to the screen. A few features not seen in 'Doom' include platform jumping & special magic attacks. Very useful moves to have at key points in the game. Overall Disruptor turns out to be a decent game that any fan of this genre should be happy with.
