NFL Gameday '98
Rarely do I ever play sport titles. So I was quite surprised when I plugged in this cool little game. Even if you have never played football before, the game is quite easy to get into. They offer you a whole lot of plays & moves which are welcome considering how linear football can get. On top of that you get the whole NFL '98 roster along with some hidden teams. I'll admit the game can get boring on one-player, but the two-player mode is where this game is best at. Playing against a human opponent adds so much more to game over it's pre-programmed AI. But besides the great gameplay, the creaters even threw in something called 'Easter Eggs'. These are codes that when found can have bizzare effects on the game. Such as giving the players big heads or blocking out all pass options among other quirky stunts. My only gripe with this title is that you get the same ending after every match & there's no half-time show in the modes. It gets pretty boring watching the same cheerleader perform the same stunts in front of different team logos. Otherwise this a good little football game that simulates the real thing pretty well. Enjoy all you Football-heads!
