Medi-Evil

Hmm, Medi-Evil turns out to be a pretty interesting 3D platformer. The control is simple, but allows you to use all sorts of different weapons & shields. Not to mention plenty of platform jumping. There's a lot of creatures & things to talk to that will help guide you on your way (real audio included). In the midst of things you'll come across events & mini-missions that you must complete in order to proceed forward. These kind of things involve simple puzzles, destroying all the enemies, or finding a particualr item or switch. The graphics are what really help bring every thing together. The background is very dark & everything looks horrifically good. With lot's of eeries lights & hidden pathways. And the main character is animated very well. Where in one case he has no weapons to attack with, so he takes his leg off & starts to defend himself. Talk about a whacky moment. And in your quest you'll come across in-game movies that help explain what's going on & give personality to the games crazy cast. Platform action fans will definitely go bonkers for this game. And heck, who couldn't love a classic slash & hack'em style game. You better check out what you've been missing on.
