Resident Evil 2

Resident Evil 2 takes the series way beyond what you saw in the first title. This time around you're introduced to two new characters who have relations with the first cast. Going to Racoon City they happen to discover the dreaded disease has spread from the mansion & is now ravaging the town. Of course this now means you can travel from building to building & even venture around the outside somewhat. It's definitely better than being pent up inside the mansion most of the game. The new graphics have taken an upresendented leap over the first game. This time featuring more realistic back drops & more bizzare creatures. And the CG in this game beats out anything I've ever seen, even FF7! Wait till you see the eye move on the Burkley/Tyrant creature & after that the amazing final boss. It's mind-blowing with what they were able to create on the PSX. The gameplay remains much the same but this time the amount of exploration & puzzles have greatly increased. Making a better play overall. There's just so more to do & see. Not to mention a greater variety of weapons that can aid you in zombie hunting. Rest assured though, there's plenty more zombies than the first & a lot more bosses in your way too. There's also a pretty deep story to be revealed with it's shadowy plots & dark motivations. One of the best parts is that the game has ton of hidden secrets. All that are slowly revealed as you play through both CDs. What you find will definitely surprise you. And who could forget the 'Scare-the-crap-out-of-the-player' bits that made Resident Evil? Well don't worry, there's enough jumps & leaps in this game to keep your heart racing for awhile. Resident Evil 2 is a must own for any Playstation owner. Get it now!
