Battle Arena Tohshinden 3

Man, what was the epitemy of the Playstation has turned into one big mess. This game boasts over 30 characters new & old to the Tohshinden series. Very cool, especially for the Tohshinden fan. For the most part the graphics are okay. There's two different modes. One with fully texture-mapped characters running at 30fps. The other uses plain blocky graphics, but running at an amazing 60fps. Now the real problem comes in the controls. Most of your moves seem very limited. And just don't allow for combos. A game without easy combos? Who would have thought? You end up finding yourself jumping in, striking a hit, & then backing off. Only to repeat the process over. A very cheap way to win a game, but it's better than actually trying to use the stinking control scheme your stuck with. You only get your butt whooped with cheasy hits. And the other concern is the crappy, crappy, crappy endings. Which put your character on top of a temple or cliff as the camera pans all around. Oh, and the credits scroll over top too. Whoopy doo, talk about a lame way to make an ending. There's just so much potential that never goes anywhere. Alas, I'll miss Tohshinden. Too had you went out with a thud instead of a bang.
