Twisted Metal 2: World Tour

World Tour is the follow up to Twisted Metal, the first car combat game. And in this second running some definitive improvements are made on the old game engine. The best part having to be the addition of pedestrians. From the painters in France to the eskimos in the South Pole. There's all sorts of people to terrorize & run over. The level designs are more in-depth & feature a lot more objects that can be destroyed. Such as Tokyo. Which is comprised of the neon lit city, the old dojo, the underground subway, & a watery garbage dump. You can take out everything from the neon lights & signs to the subway trains & it's passengers. Pure chaos! Heck there's even stuff in the distant background to burn down such as the Hollywood sign & old windmills. And the gameplay is fun while allowing for combo attacks using the freeze ray. Imagine freezing your victim in his tracks, then planting a bomb which blows him into the lava pit below. Oh the humanity! There's also plenty of cars with varied stats & a wide aray of arenas to choose from. And that's not including the hidden levels & characters such as Sweet Tooth & Minion. The whole package is completed with some 2D computer animated endings that are as twisted & cruel as the game is. There's a lot here to be happy about especially with multiple player mayhem. My only gripes are that the graphics improved little over the first & the game eventually gets boring with only one player. However the other features more than make up for it. The best Twisted Metal game you're ever going to play.
