Wipeout XL

When Psygnosis releases a PSX game, very rarely is it such a huge hit. And Wipeout XL turns out to be one of those fantastic surprises. This title is just so different from every racer out for the console. It boasts a huge, futuristic theme unlike anything ever seen in a video game. With winding tracks & intersecting tunnels. Talk about an advanced city. And there's a lot more involvement with the control of you car. Since it hovers you must keep in mind about your pitch & roll as you make turns. There's also an exciting weapons system that can determine who lives & who dies. And some of these weapons are literally amazing. One attack sends turns the road into wave that bumps all the other drivers out of your way. Too cool. It's just so much better than those cliche racers thats on every system. There's also more courses to open up & even some extremely cool vehicles to uncover as well. And you won't be beating the game in one night either. Passing each stage requires hard training & mastery. Only the very best will be able to beat this game. Wipeout XL is a totally unique classic.
