Paperboy

Well, what can I say about this title? It's just one of those Mom & Dad Classics that came out of the NES era. You know what I'm talking about. Games that your parents made famous sorta like Tetris & NES Open. Nothing that ever appealed to a kid until their Mom or Dad got hooked. Really the only reason you'd play them. Anyways, Paperboy was a pretty good game with it's bad graphics & music. Come-on, the whole isometric view just didn't feel right in this game. And what's with the 5 colors. Couldn't the NES handle anymore? At least the gameplay itself was more than gratifying when compared to the problems Paperboy had. You take on the role of the neighborhood paperboy, of course. And your goal is to get all the papers delivered while trashing the houses that weren't subscribers. You wanna talk about living a childhood dream. What other game lets you destroy your neighbors' houses without next to no consequences. Sure fun. Especially when you pit yourself up against your friends or family. Inducing comments like "I bet I can cause more property damage than you." And "Oh yeah, I bet I can break more windows." Wow, don't you love family time. Almost a classic by today's terms. While the graphics may not be pretty, it's one game that's still sure to please. Give it a try sometime.
