the Crow: City of Angels

Why does Acclaim even try? Every game they help bring out is usually a horrid piece of crap. And the Crow: City of Angels easily keeps the sad tradition going. Let's get to the poor gameplay first. Forget about any kind of control. Your character reacts so slow to your commands. And the animation is so slow & choppy it feels like you're waiting forever before you can get control of your character again. The control is a totally awful rip on Resident Evil, but with punching & kicking. And since the bad guys jump on you from all sides you're often finding yourself getting the crap kicked out of. It's just too slow, awkward, & frustrating to play in the first place! The CG cinemas are equally bad & leave you confused. Why couldn't they have used any cut scenes from the movie? None of them makes any sense or even have anything to do with what's going on at that time. The backgrounds are pre-rendered with full polygonal characters (again, like Resident Evil). But the borders & hit detection are so off. Where it looks like you can go is usually blocked off by an invisible border while you can easily walk through objects in other stages. Everything in this game is poor. Like the sequel, avoid this game at all costs. Doesn't the Crow deserve better?
