X-Men: Children of the Atom
X-Men finally gets a decent console game. And the X-Men ends up best served as a 2D fighting game by the masters themselves, Capcom. Anyone who has ever played a Street Fighter title will be immediately familiar with the controls. Actually the big difference between X-Men and a normal SF title is the over exaggerated moves & specials. Everything in this title is done way over the top and it's absolutely crazy. We're talking large character sprites, screen-filling fireballs, and 30+ hit combos. What this does however is throw off the balance and some characters will definitely be better in play than others. It's a shortcoming I can thankfully live with and I'm sure most diehard Capcom fans can handle. Now if they could just fix the muffled voice-overs and axe the always stale endings we'd have an unstoppable title on our hands.

Innovation | 8 | It's basically a Twiqued Street Fighter 2 with X-Men Characters / One of the Best uses of the X-Men license |
Replay | 7 | Lot's of Different Combatants to Play Through with / Endings are Still-Shots with some Text |
