Goof Troop
When you want to picture Goof Troop, try imagining the Legend of Zelda for the SNES. The game takes place at an overhead view. And your character can pick up various items & throw them. You'll also want to avoid those ledges because you can fall in. Along the way he must solve puzzles & uncover hidden items. One of these being the grappling hook which looks & acts just like the Hook Shot from SNES Zelda. Hmm, now this ain't bad, but it's not original either. While I would have liked to have seen something with a little more personality, the basic gameplay turns out to be entertaining enough. The puzzles are the usual "move the block around" types. However they aren't impossible to figure out & they do have their tricks. When you accomplish one you feel pretty good & can't wait to see what else is in store for you. Overall it's got enough variety & challenge to keep you happy & coming back until the end. And ocassionally you do have to dispose of some bosses who also have their tricks that you must solve if you want to beat them. It's a fairly entertaining game & there hasn't been many titles that have tried to do a Zelda copy. Quite frankly I'm kinda glad to see a game like this just because of how much fun it provides. But if you've played Zelda before you might want to look for something else with a little more flair.
