Jurassic Park
If you've played Jurassic Park for the NES, then you got a pretty good idea of what the SNES version is all about. It features a top-down view of the island while inside areas consist of semi-3D first person exploration (like Doom). The gameplay plays a lot like Zelda. Where you have to find key items that allow the player to enter different zones of the park. All while keeping your wits about you as you fight dinosaurs in real time. And honestly, I can say the game is pretty good. With lot's of challenges & hidden places to find. There's definitely a lot to do & to keep you busy as you play. The graphics are also top notch. With soft, colorful backgrounds & quick moving dinosaurs abound. The music engine is also a first for the SNES. Different themes tune in as you enter into different areas. Creating a seemless world that smoothly blends the entire atmosphere. Some good listening I might add as well. The only problem that can be had with this is the simple fact that there is no passwords or any way to save. You are expected to beat the game in one playing. And with the kind of time you must put into this game, it's not worth having to play through from the beginning everytime you turn it on. What were you thinking Ocean? Anyhows if you can get past the fact that you got to beat in one running, (were talking about a couple of hours with knowing the location of all the items) it's a damn good game to get into.
