Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Ninja Gaiden finally makes it's 16-bit debut, will sort of. This game is pretty much a compliation of all the old NES Ninja Gaiden games (yep numbers 1 to 3). Following the once recent trend that Nintendo started with the Mario All-Stars game. It's fun (and even nostalgic for me anyways) to finally have all three titles in one easy to handle cartridge. But in the end you just feel like you should have gotten alot more out of it. The games as you suspected are copied perfectly off the classic NES Roms. Meaning you'll get these games with the same graphics, gameplay, and glitches that were found in the previous NES releases. It would have been nice to see updated graphics and to have all those minor glitches eliminated out of this incarnation, but Tecmo opted not to do so. Besides it was easier for them and more cost efficient just to copy them as they were. The only addition (and a helpful one at that too) was the password system. Which is very convinent and saves you the hassle of starting from scratch every time you decide to play. The game doesn't make any leaps and bounds like the SNES Mairo All-Stars compliation, but just having all 3 of the awesome Ninja Gaiden games is good enough for me. Check out the other NES Ninja Gaiden reviews for a better understanding on each game.
