Phantom 2040
I'm not sure if many of you remember the short lived cartoon series of the same name. But it centered on an old comic character by the name of the Phantom. And of course the setting is now in the future of 2040. So the artwork for this game is quite peculiar. Featuring skinny, stretched looking characters along with an amazing array of technilogical wonders. Which definitely helps to create an atmosphere all it's own. Then we get to the gameplay. Which primarily consists of 2D Platforming & mixed elements of adventure. The Phantom will need to uncover many hidden items & weapons in order to make his was throughout the stages. And what could be better than his grappling hook? I'm sorry, but I just have such a fun time swinging & searching around all the stages like this. It's great. The only problems I have with this title, is that it gets old & boring very quickly. There just isn't enough variety in the missions to hold your interest. So as fun as it seems for awhile you'll probably end up forgetting about this game as it drags on. You just can never muster up enough excitement to ever complete it. Good try, but it needs work.
