Andy's Broken LegAndy broke his leg on the playground about 3 weeks before the end of school. He was in this huge cast (Thank you Dr. Edwards) for most of the summer. It was tough not to be able to play baseball, run around with friends, or swim but he is doing great now.

First Day of Cast
This is a picture from the first day he was home with his cast. You can see specks of plaster on his shorts from the two tries it took the Doctor to get it set correctly. |
Up and Walking
After a few weeks of pushing him in a wheelchair Andy got the hang of using his walker. It wasn't fast but it was better than me helping him hop all over the house! |
Cast Comes Off
After eight weeks in his cast the doctor said it was ready to be cut off. Here you can see the nurse pulling it apart. It took several cuts, prys, and pulls to get it completly off.
