It was fate the way I fell into colorguard at the begining of high school. Some of my closest friends had been in band thoughout middle school and were about to enter the high school marching band without me. I tried to learn a bit of trombone but didn't feel confident enough. That was when my friend Matt suggested the colorguard. I had never even heard of it until that day.

1996: Freshman Colorguard

1998: Junior Colorguard
This was my first year as captain. There were only four girls on the team. But the four of us made up the best team I had at my high school. At one of our contests, we were one girl down, and the three of us still earned a superior rating, the only one the colorguard ever recived while I was in highschool.
