Danny's Dancing Will Never be the Same!
Stop those rumors now, 'cause Danny's back and hotter than ever!
IT WAS SCARY!
"It was the scariest moment of my life," admits Danny. "When the doctor said that I tore ligaments in my ankle, I thought my career was over." Danny is referring to the accident in Manchester, England this past summer when Danny tripped on a teddy bear during a New Kids concert, thrown on stage by an excited fan.
Danny was sent back home to Boston to recuperate for three weeks. "I was devastated when I had to leave England, but I knew I had to get better as soon as possible so I could rejoin the group when they hit the US part of the tour," says Danny. After a grueling period of therapy for his ankle and a work out regimen to get back in shape, Danny indeed came back in full force.
THE LOBO PLAN
"Luckily, my bodyguard, Lobo, has been super supportive in helping me get back to my normal self. We work out three times a week together, and he trained me to look down before I start dancing on stage," laughs Danny. "I don't know what I would do without him!"
HIS MOVES WILL STILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY!
Now that his ankle is almost as good as new, Danny is lookin' fine out there on those concert stages! His steps are as smooth as ever and his spins are superb. With all that fancy footwork, it's hard to believe there was ever something wrong with his foot. "I try not to show it, but sometimes the moves I do now are a little painful, but I just try to ignore it," reveals Danny. "I guess it'll be a while before I work out all the kinks."
DON'T WORRY, HE'S HAPPY
"It's the greatest feeling in the world being back with the guys and performing again!" exclaims Danny. And if he doesn't know it yet, it's the greatest feeling for his fans too!
