When FPPVW began, it was started by Jon Z, who was a college student with absolutely no money. He had trained several wrestlers, and many of them were at the point where they no longer sucked. Thus Jon decided to hold events in mid-2003, for a company he called Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling. Burn It Up was the eighth monthly event.
