Bloodlust
Mark Raymond McElfresh and Benjamin Curtis Young are an American professional wrestling tag team, better known by their ring names Kavian and Torea as the tag team Bloodlust. They first began teaming together upon finishing their training in 2005. They have been members of the MECCA roster since 2008, where they are former holders of the MECCA World Tag Team Championship.
As a team, they were best known for their dark, vampiric personalities, modeling their look after media franchises such as the RPG series Vampyre: The Masquerade and the Underworld film series. Following in the footsteps of one of their predecessors, they came up with their ring names as homages to two of the tribes from Vampyre: Malkavian and Tareadore.

Professional wrestling careerEarly careerKavian and Torea moved to the Ohio area in early 2005 to begin training at the MECCA Training Camp. They had their first match in June and worked various independents as a team and as singles competitors for the next few years. Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2008-2010)Early DaysKavian and Torea signed contracts with MECCA in early 2008 and were put together with manager Medea Knight, who had just sold the contracts of her previous team The Surgeons to fellow manager Prince Nana. Knight took on a more gothic persona to emulate the vampiric look of Bloodlust, as they came to be known. They made their debut on the February 13 episode of Go Time, scoring a win over the team of Robbie Reno and Ryan Andrews. They immediately made their pay-per-view debut at Bloody Valentine as part of the Six-Man Apocalypse match. At Melee, they were entered into a tag team Gauntlet match, but were eliminated by The Killer Kanines. At The MECCA Challenge IV, they both competed in the 16-man Battlebrawl match, but were eliminated early on. They continued to work their way through the tag team division for the next several months, gaining valuable experience. In December, MECCA authority Katie Piehl announced the Round Robin Faction War, a round robin tournament of elmination tag matches between MECCA's various factions where the winners would get guaranteed title shots of their choice, but the factions with the lowest amount of points would have to split up. Wanting to get in on it, Huh formed Huh's Hot Dogs, a faction of misfits and ne'er-do-wells, which included Bloodlust and Delirious. Huh's Hot Dogs scored a couple of points early on against Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon, but were swept by all four members of The Consulate at Ignition. Their next match in the tournament was an eight-man tag against The House of Lords on February 25, but they lost that match as well. Their last shot at staying in the tournament was against Luchacore, with Kavian and Delirious taking on Irish Airborne. Realizing it was over for them when Delirious was pinned, Kavian intentionally took a count-out loss to end the match. Huh tried to console his teammates after the match by saying how proud he was of their effort, but Torea and Kavian were upset and walked out on him. The next week, they blindsided Ryan and Gary of EEE, and Knight said this was their demand for recompense for wasting their time for months in a group that was going nowhere. EEE members Robbie and Cubby took the match in place of their friends, and Bloodlust got the victory. First BloodFor their next act, Bloodlust targeted The Briscoes on the April 1 Go Time, emerging from the shadows to attack them after their promo. Taking the vampire personae a bit too far, they used their fangs to bite into Mark Briscoe's neck, prompting medical attention. They tried to do the same thing to The Pyro Twins the next week, but were attacked by the Briscoes before they could bite anyone. The Briscoes then revealed they had been granted a match against Bloodlust at The MECCA Challenge V. The Briscoes tried to attack them again on the next week's show, but Bloodlust ran and hid. The Briscoes tracked them to the boiler room, but the lights suddenly went out and they both got beaten up in the dark by Bloodlust. When the lights came on, Kavian and Torea were gone, and Mark was missing. Jay called them out the next week, and Bloodlust came out with Mark tied to a post, bleeding. Officials freed Mark as Jay brawled with Bloodlust. At the MECCA Challenge, however, Bloodlust managed to steal a victory over the Briscoes after Jay was debilitated by having red mist spat into his eyes. The Briscoes challenged them to a rematch at New Dawn, this time in a First Blood match. The Briscoes would go on to win the match after busting Kavian open. Mortem TyrannisWith the Ring of Honor invasion happening over the summer, on August 5 a special four-way match was booked with the MECCA and ROH World Titles on the line. MECCA Champion Anubis and ROH Champion Austin Aries were given the power to choose the two other contenders in the match. Austin chose Kavian, not because he was a great competitor, but because he had a lackluster singles record, which was something Aries could take advantage of. Nevertheless, Kavian was preparing for the opportunity of a lifetime when he was taken out by Aries's rival Nykk, who then took his place in the match. This upset Bloodlust, and for weeks afterward they could be seen in the rafters during Nykk's matches, holding up signs with sayings like "Mortem Tyrannis," which meant "Death to tyrants." They finally made their presence felt physically on September 23, attacking Nykk before his match and badly bloodying him. Nykk and Ronin Fox would go on to win the MECCA World Tag Team Championship in the next few weeks, and decided to put their titles on the line to get Kavian and Torea in the ring at Scared Stiff. The match was a donnybrook from the start, and Nykk ended up getting his team disqualified in his effort to hurt Bloodlust. Kavian and Torea weren't through with them, however, and worked their way back into contention. They won the titles at End of the Line two months later, beating Nykk and Fox and the Irish Airborne in a Triangle match. They met Nykk and Fox under No DQ rules at Ignition, with Bloodlust getting the win. Their victory was short-lived, however, as they lost the titles to the Pyro Twins on Go Time: Championship Edition a couple of weeks later. After failing to win them back in the rematch at Six-Man Melee, they turned their attention toward the MECCA Toughman Championship. However, Kavian sustained an injury, which left only Torea to compete in the Toughman Gauntlet at The MECCA Challenge VI. He scored a win over Jack Fletcher in the first match thanks to help from Kavian, but lost to his next opponent, Tristan Lee. When Kavian came back from his injury, they feuded with the UK Wrecking Crew, and lost to them at New Dawn. They continued to persevere in the tag team division and faced off with the UKWC again at Never Say Die, this time for the tag titles, but were once again unsuccessful. Breakup and FeudAs the months went on, Kavian seemed to be getting better and better reactions and putting on better matches, and it soon became obvious that Torea was jealous of him. During a match with Deep Impact, Torea abandoned his partner, leading to a loss. Torea didn't show up for their match on September 15, and Kavian had to make do with a replacement partner. He confronted Torea later on, but he didn't have much to say. He attacked Kavian when his back was turned and dumped a production crate onto his midsection, nearly breaking his ribs. This led to a match at Scared Stiff, which Torea won. In the coming weeks, Torea would join up with Jimmy Jacobs and The Absence of Light. Kavian, now going by Marcus Kavian, teamed with The Wild Wolf at No Regrets to defeat Torea and Dusty Schneble. After that, the two men went their separate ways to pursue their own goals.
