Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2010-2013)

Robbie Reno and Ares first teamed up on the September 17, 2010, episode of Rundown in a losing effort to Deep Impact. As two struggling singles performers, they were trying to find their way, and after being paired together a few more times decided to make the team permanent. They won enough matches to get an early shot at the tag titles against The UK Wrecking Crew on December 1, but came up short. However, they did score an upset over the team of Marcus Kavian and Jamie Chan at End of the Line. They soon reinvented themselves as international businessmen and adopted the name Upstarts International. They added Amber O'Neal to their group as their manager and set off to conquer the tag team division.

They worked their way up to a tag title shot at Kick Start, but were unsuccessful. With Ares injured during the match, Reno had to pick a new partner and chose Justin Caron, a promising graduate of the MECCA Training Camp. They defeated FIST on the following Go Time, but then developed an issue with The UK Wrecking Crew after both teams lost in a Triangle match to determine the number one contenders to the titles. Reno and Caron teamed with O'Neal at The MECCA Challenge VII, but lost a six-person mixed tag to the UKWC and Zoe Alexander. Ares returned soon after, and Reno helped him and Caron pick up a win over the UKWC at New Dawn. Sick of the numbers game, the UKWC wanted one more match against them, and didn't care if they had to take on all of them. They got their wish and defeated all three men in a Handicap match at Punked Out.

Upstarts International worked their way back into title contention over the next few months, with Reno and Caron claiming two victories over the team of Marcus Kavian and Gran Akuma in September. Reno and Caron challenged High Def for the titles at Scared Stiff but came up short. Enraged over the title loss, they took it out on Ronin Fox on the next Go Time, as well as High Def. On November 16, they cost High Def the titles by interfering in their defense against Ryan Andrews and Jimmy Rave. The three of them teamed against Fox and High Def in a six-man tag at No Regrets, but lost. Ares and Caron teamed up against High Def once again a couple of weeks later, but once again came up short. In early 2012, Upstarts International entered the Trios Tag League Tournament, and won their first round match against the team of Jamie Chan, Gran Akuma, and Kotoka Shiiba. However, they lost in the semi-finals to Anubis, Low Ki, and The Wild Wolf. Caron was released from MECCA shortly afterward, leaving Reno and Ares to compete in the 12-Man Battlebrawl at The MECCA Challenge VIII. However, both men were eliminated.

Reno and Ares continued teaming over the next year, but were rarely able to break out from the undercard, falling to teams such as The Dark City Fight Club and The Young Bucks. They competed in a tag team battle royale at The MECCA Challenge IX, but were both eliminated. They were released from their contracts shortly afterward due to budget cuts. Their final appearance was on the May 15 episode of Go Time in a loss to The Lee Brothers.
