Early career

Brianna Takai was born in Japan, but moved to the United States as a child. It was there she discovered professional wrestling, and at the age of 19 decided to move to Ohio to train at the MECCA Training Camp under Nykk and Ronin Fox, as well as head female trainer Naomi Leach. A few months after her initial training, she made her debut on the independent scene and also helped out behind the scenes at MECCA shows as part of her continued training program.

Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2013-2014)

Takai made her MECCA debut at a television taping on May 4, 2013, losing a dark match to Kellie Skater. A couple of months later, she was brought back to be a part of the ladies' division. On the July 3 episode of Go Time, she made her television debut, beating Sombre. She continued to wrestle on the MECCA streaming series Blast Zone, and occasionally appearing on Go Time. On the December 18 episode of Go Time, she accepted the challenge of Nykk, who had been running down female wrestlers in an attempt to get in the head of Melissa Flash before their factions faced off in the Perimeter of Pain at End of the Line. Nykk put up $5000, which would go to Takai if she could pin him in an amateur style wrestling match. Takai held her own against the much larger Nykk, but he cheated and kicked her in the head when the ref wasn't looking. He was able to pin her shoulders to the mat, and continued to stomp on her afterward, further humiliating her until Flash came down to run Nykk off. Takai continued to wrestle on the undercard until mid-2014, when she left MECCA. Her final appearance was in a loss to Sassy Stephie on the July 2 episode of Blast Zone.
