Professional wrestling career
Early career
Davidson's origins in the wrestling business are unknown, but he had been wrestling on shows in the Midwest a decade before FPPVW or RCW existed. In 2003, he began training and sparring with Jon Z and other FPPVW competitors at the FPPVW Training Camp in Dayton. In early 2004, he was brought into the company as Brother Jim, a parody of the evangelist of the same name who often preached at college campuses and outdoor events.
Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling/Renegade Championship Wrestling (2004-2005)
On the May 14 episode of Foundation, Brother Jim appeared outside of the Dayton Gym Club, preaching to fans about sin when someone handed him a flyer for WrestlingRevolution, which was set to take place the following day. Jim launched into a tirade about the sins of the wrestling business, and how he used to be a wrestler before seeing the light, before urging the fans to not attend the event. Two weeks later, he appeared in the crowd during Cynric's match, railing against him for being a man and having long hair. He would get more insistent on being heard over the following weeks, attempting to jump the railing only to be dragged out by security, and throwing a Bible into the ring to distract Cynric during his match. When he jumped the rail to retrieve it, he was brutally attacked by Cynric before security dragged Jim out of the arena. This got the attention of Jon Z, who confronted Jim backstage. Jim threatened a lawsuit unless he was allowed to speak to the FPPVW fans, but Jon refused. He was eventually pressured into relenting, and Jim addressed the crowd on July 20, ranting against Cynric and other FPPVW stars like Cheesecake. This brought out Cynric, who ran down Brother Jim on the mic. He turned his back, only for Jim to attempt to blindside him, but Cynric beat him up once again.
Brother Jim once again confronted Cynric on August 3, and Cynric challenged him to a match. They were soon set to face off at Firestorm, and Jim surprised everyone by scoring the upset win over Cynric after nailing him with a loaded Bible. He continued to bother Cynric in the weeks that followed and his message also began to resonate with a couple recent training camp graduates who had just made their debuts, namely Shawn Luss and Eric Noe. Fed up with Jim's antics, Jon Z booked him and Cynric in a rematch for Homecoming Hell with a very unique stipulation. If Cynric lost, he would have to shave his head. But if Jim lost, he would not be allowed to cut his hair for as long as he remained employed by RCW, meaning if he wanted to stick around he would eventually be sporting the long hair he hated so much. Cynric was able to win the match, much to Jim's chagrin. Jim would go on to form a tentative alliance with newcomer to RCW Christopher Daniels, seeing his Fallen Angel attire and mistaking him for a man of the cloth. He also began preaching more to Luss and Noe, and they began to follow him with reverence. Around this time, Cheesecake disappeared from RCW, concerning his tag team partner Huh. At Darkest Night, Jim confronted Huh, revealing that he had taken Cheesecake in order to change him into a man of righteousness, incurring the wrath of Huh.
In early 2005, RCW went dark after financial issues involving Jon Z and the alleged embezzlement of funds from the company. Jim's final appearance was on the January 21 episode of This Week in RCW, cutting a promo for his upcoming match against Ronin Fox and CM Punk at the Regeneration pay-per-view, which never took place. The fans and employees of RCW would gather together for one final night at WrestlingRevolution II on May 15. Jim would team with his novitiates Luss and Noe to lose to the team of The Eccentrics and Aki Mann.
Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2007)
On February 10, 2007, Brother Jim appeared as a participant in the Six-Man Apocalypse match at Bloody Valentine, ringing a bell and wearing a sign proclaiming the end was near. However, he was quickly eliminated by Low Ki. He showed up on the next episode of Go Time, barging into the broadcast booth, again ranting about the end. On the March 14 episode, Nykk told The Pyro Twins that Jim had been spotted in the building and asked them to do something about it. When Jim jumped the guardrail and tried to take over the ring later, the Pyro Twins came out and beat him up and then jammed a nail heated by Dusty's lighter into his eye. That didn't deter Jim, who kept coming back, now sporting an eye patch, and even attacked female competitor Heather Star in the ring. On April 4, he once again crashed the show, but Kevin Stone demanded a match with him. He beat Jim in a couple of minutes. Shortly after losing a dark match to Jay Crowe before the April 25 episode of Rundown, Jim was released from MECCA.
It was later implied that the doom Jim had been ranting about referred to the eventual formation of The House of Lords at The MECCA Challenge III, which was why Nykk had been so adamant about shutting him up.
