Dusty Schneble

Dustin Roman Schneble is an American professional wrestler. He is a performer for MECCA, best known as being one half of The Pyro Twins before embarking on a singles career, and eventually reuniting the Pyro Twins. Prior to that, he also performed for FPPVW/RCW.

In MECCA and FPPVW/RCW, Schneble has headlined many of the major events and pay-per-views both by himself and with his longtime tag team partner Jay Crowe. In FPPVW/RCW, he was a member of the Heel Stable, a notorious gang of heels. In MECCA, he was a member of The House of Lords, a group of heels bent on revenge and power, as well as a loosely connected faction called The EDJ with Jay and his brother Eddie Crowe. He also went on to be a member of The Absence of Light. In FPPVW/RCW, he held the FPPVW/RCW Tag Team Titles twice during the promotion's tenure. After moving on to MECCA, he won the MECCA World Tag Team Titles four times, and held the Toughman Championship once.

Early career

Shortly after their lifelong friends Nykk and Ronin Fox began training under Jon Z, Jay and Dusty decided to get into the business as well and entered training. They debuted in early 2002 and worked various independents for the next couple of years.

Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling (2003-2005)

The Beginning

In July of 2003, Jon Z started his own promotion Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling. Jay and Dusty were amongst the first wrestlers hired, along with their friends Nykk, Fox, Huh, and Cheesecake. They debuted at the very first FPPVW show Premiere Showcase. They competed in a battle royale to open the show, which was won by Nykk. Later on, they wrestled their friends Huh and Cheesecake, The Eccentrics in a tag team match, which Jay and Dusty won after illegal use of a chain. The rematch occurred two months later at Breakout, which the Eccentrics won after Huh pinned Dusty without meaning to, resulting in a Pyro Twins beatdown after the match. A Hardcore Match was signed for the second episode of Foundation on September 12, which the Pyro Twins won. The Eccentrics would come back with singles wins at Bloodbath, with Huh beating Dusty in a Table Match and Cheesecake beating Jay in a Hardcore Match. The feud continued at Homecoming Hell, with the Pyro Twins scoring a tag team victory.

Jay and Dusty moved on to face Matt Stryker and Chad Collyer at November Pain the next month, losing that encounter. But they continued having problems with the Eccentrics, and beat them in a Steel Cage Match at Darkest Night.

The Heel Stable and the FPPVW Tag Team Championship

On the January 23 edition of Foundation, the Pyro Twins would interject themselves into an issue between their old high school friends. They would help Nykk, leader of The Heel Stable and Joey Sprinklers beat down Kevin Stone, one of their former members. They officially joined the group, and became Nykk's enforcers. Then on the February 20 edition of Foundation, Nykk dropped the bombshell that he had taken it upon himself to crown the first FPPVW Tag Team Champions. He introduced the the Pyro Twins, who he claimed had won a tournament in Rio de Janeiro officiated by shady referee David Caldwell. He presented them with belts, and FPPVW owner Jon Z was livid. But it was legit, since Nykk had sneaked in the paperwork for the tournament while Jon was busy signing documents a few weeks before. Jon retaliated by announcing a tournament of his own for the Ohio Tag Team Championship. He announced that the winners of the titles would then face Jay and Dusty at WrestlingRevolution in two months to unify the two titles and crown the first official FPPVW Tag Team Champions. The Pyro Twins became concerned that the Eccentrics might win the tournament and face them once again at WrestlingRevolution, but quickly realized after dominating their feud that they would be easy opponents. Though the Eccentrics dropped a match in the upper brackets, they worked their way back up the lower brackets to face Cody Hawk and Austin Lee in the finals. The Pyro Twins approached Lee and convinced him that if he won that match, he would not be 100% for his title shot in the WrestlingRevolution main event. This caused Austin to abandon his partner during the match at Countdown, resulting in an Eccentrics victory. The Pyro Twins wasted no time in ambushing the Eccentrics on the next episode of Foundation, beating them down as well as lighting their friend Torgo on fire and throwing a fireball in the face of their manager Pinky. The Eccentrics dropped their usual comedy for this serious threat, and requested their match be made Anything Goes. At WrestlingRevolution, the Eccentrics beat the Pyro Twins to become the FPPVW Tag Team Champions despite shenanigans from referee David Caldwell.

The Pyro Twins came back with a win at Sunstroke, teaming with Joey Sprinklers to beat the Eccentrics and Cynric, who was taking the place of an injured Ronin Fox. They soon received a rematch with the Eccentrics for the tag belts, and won them on the July 6 edition of Foundation. Meanwhile, following back to back losses to Ronin Fox and Kevin Stone, Nykk decided to take a sabbatical from FPPVW, leaving the Heel Stable directionless. Austin Lee stepped up in his absence and convinced the Pyro Twins and Joey to accept him as their new leader. Under him, the Heel Stable began achieving more success than they did with Nykk's abusive leadership style, and the Pyro Twins retained in their first title defense over Cynric and Kevin Stone at Breakout.

Renegade Championship Wrestling (2004-2005)

The "New" Heel Stable

As of Breakout 2004, FPPVW was rebranded as Renegade Championship Wrestling and the Pyro Twins were recognized as RCW Tag Team Champions. They continued their success with a victory over Swinging Justice at Firestorm. The rivalry would continue at Bloodbath, where Swinging Justice recruited the Eccentrics to take on the new Heel Stable. The Heel Stable lost when Nykk made his return, costing Austin the match. Nykk would go on to beat Austin at Homecoming Hell, but get attacked after the match. Joey and the Pyro Twins ran down, but turned on Austin, revealing they were still firmly on Nykk's side. They helped Nykk regain the RCW Championship in November, but then lost their tag belts to the team of Austin Lee and Alan Mayse on December 28. In early 2005, they were announced as competing in the Road to the Revolution Tournament, but the promotion went dark before it could finish. The Pyro Twins subsequently regained the RCW Tag Team Titles on an unrelated show on January 30. The roster would reunite one last time for WrestlingRevolution II on May 14, with the Pyro Twins losing the tag belts to The Concession Boyz.

Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2005-present)

SELF

With RCW's funds gone and the promotion caught up in a legal battle with its creditors, Nykk hastily put together a deal of his own. He started MECCA, which at first stood for the Midwestern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts, in order to save the jobs of the workers and crew of RCW. The Pyro Twins made their debut on the second edition of Go Time on January 11, losing a hard fought match to the team of Psychosis and Super Crazy. An International Invitational Tournament, featuring teams from around the world, was quickly introduced to crown the first MECCA Tag Team Champions, which the Pyro Twins entered. But they also turned heads on the January 18 edition of Go Time, when they turned on their longtime friend Nykk, helping his rival CM Punk beat him down. They would not explain why they turned on Nykk, however, and went on to win their first round match against fellow US team Reckless Abandon at the company's first pay-per-view, Bloody Valentine as Punk watched over them on commentary. Jay and Dusty didn't seem too happy about being with Punk, and took umbrage with him wanting them to throw their next match in the tournament. Punk reminded them of why they're here, and pointed to a young man in the front row, who turned out to be Jay's brother Eddie Crowe. It was revealed that Punk had taken Eddie under his tutelage, and threatened to destroy his mind and break his spirit if the Pyro Twins didn't do as he said. The megalomaniac Punk went on to form The Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation, or SELF, with Dusty, the Crowes, and Trent Acid. The Pyro Twins continued to help Punk against his enemies such as Nykk, all while trying to convince Eddie to leave Punk and gain his freedom. Defying Punk, Jay and Dusty defeated Japan's Kaientai Deluxe at Melee to advance in the tournament's upper brackets. However, they would lose the finals of the upper brackets to the newly debuted UK Wrecking Crew on March 22. This dropped them to the lower brackets, where they lost a rematch to Reckless Abandon for a chance to face the UKWC in the tournament finals. At The MECCA Challenge at the end of April they teamed with Eddie to defeat Cynric, Amazing Red, and Kevin Stone in a six-man tag match.

Punk became the first MECCA Champion at the MECCA Challenge, and the Pyro Twins continued to help him against his challengers. But they also had not forgotten the UK Wrecking Crew, who refused to give them a title shot when they became the first MECCA Tag Team Champions. The Pyro Twins responded by stealing their International Invitational trophy and blowing it up at Punked Out the next month. They continued their rivalry with Reckless Abandon, dropping a match to them by disqualification at Midsummer Night Slam in June. Since Reckless Abandon had joined the Eccentric Alliance, this brought them back into conflict with their old rivals Huh and Cheesecake. They teamed with Eddie and Punk to take on the Eccentric Alliance in an eight-man tag team elimination match at Liberty or Death, which they lost. After the match, Punk would accept an impromptu challenge from Nykk and end up losing the MECCA Championship from him. This infuriated Punk, and he began to take out his frustrations on Eddie. He became physically abusive, and Jay had had enough. He attacked Punk, but Eddie came to his mentor's aid and laid out Jay. Dusty seemed torn, but ended up leaving the ring with Punk and Eddie. Dusty's status continued to be in doubt even as Jay challenged Punk to a match at Summertime Showdown at the end of August. Punk used Eddie as a shield during their match, and even used him as a weapon against Jay. Dusty then came out and attacked Jay as well. But it turned out to be a ruse, as Jay and Dusty then laid out Punk, allowing Jay to get the win. After the match, Punk announced he was leaving MECCA, which made Eddie distraught. Even with his mentor betraying and leaving him, Eddie was still obsessed with Punk and refused to shake the Pyro Twins' hands.

Meanwhile, the UK Wrecking Crew continued to duck the Pyro Twins. They tricked Jay and Dusty into an attacking them outside the arena in August, which allowed them to get a restraining order, keeping them fifty feet away at all times. After Summertime Showdown, Eddie decided that he would follow Punk's vision and rebuild SELF. The Pyro Twins responded with some tough love and beat him and Acid at the company's first TV special At Your Own Risk. On October 4, they interfered in the UK Wrecking Crew's title defense against the Eccentrics, making sure to stay fifty feet away as they pelted Andy Nathans and Jack Fletcher with paint pellets, allowing Huh and Cheesecake to score the victory and win the belts. The next week, Eddie and Acid introduced the UKWC as the newest members of SELF. Finally able to get their shot at the MECCA Tag Team Championship, the Pyro Twins faced the Eccentrics on October 18, but lost the match after the UK Wrecking Crew interfered. Afterward, Eddie and Acid came out and helped the UKWC beat down the Pyro Twins. They put Dusty through a flaming table and lit the back of Jay's shirt on fire. This led to Jay facing Eddie at Scared Stiff while Dusty competed in the first ever Stiff Strike Challenge. Eddie won the match, and also helped the UK Wrecking Crew regain the Tag Team Titles from the Eccentrics. On the next edition of Go Time, SELF came out to gloat, but the UK Wrecking Crew interrupted Eddie and turned on him, giving him a beatdown while Acid abandoned him, wanting nothing to do with this issue. Nathans and Fletcher revealed that their joining of SELF was all a ruse to get at the Pyro Twins, who were still hopeful they could snap Eddie out of his funk.

Championship Gold

The UK Wrecking Crew continued to taunt the Pyro Twins, keeping them at bay by utilizing security in the form of traditional British guards. When Eddie returned to action in the late fall, he joined the side of the Pyro Twins against Nathans and Fletcher. The trio also joined the tournament to crown the first Toughman Champion in early 2006, but none of them made it past the second round. Jay and Dusty continued to gain tag team wins in their quest for a shot at Nathans and Fletcher. It became harder for them to deny the Pyro Twins a title shot, and the Pyro Twins finally got their rematch at The MECCA Challenge II at the end of April. After a hard fought match, the Pyro Twins finally won and became the MECCA Tag Team Champions.

With Eddie Crowe becoming MECCA Champion at the same event, the EDJ was on top of the world. The Pyro Twins defended their tag titles successfully over the next couple of months, and also competed in the first Six-Pack Apocalypse match at Midsummer Night Slam. Earlier in the night, they beat Ronin Fox and Cynric by disqualification, and Fox and Cynric were not happy about losing their chance to be the Tag Team Champions. They won the right to a rematch and faced Jay and Dusty at Summertime Showdown. The UK Wrecking Crew made their surprise return during the match and cost the Pyro Twins the Tag Team Championship. The Pyro Twins turned their attention back to the UKWC, and wanted to settle the score once and for all. They proposed a match called the Ring of Fire for Scared Stiff in October, where the only way to win was to set an opposing team member on fire. The UKWC accepted this dangerous challenge, and the Pyro Twins won the match, once again putting the UKWC out of MECCA.

The next team to step up to the Pyro Twins was Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere. Acid confronted the Pyro Twins on the November 1 Go Time, upset about some singles losses to them. He brought his old tag team partner Kashmere with him, and they started a brawl with Jay and Dusty. The teams met at No Regrets, with The Backseat Boyz walking away with the victory. The two teams feuded throughout the winter, with Jay and Dusty winning a rematch at Snowed In. The rubber match took place at The MECCA Challenge III, with the Pyro Twins getting the victory and winning the rivalry. This catapulted them back into title contention, and they faced The Killer Kanines at Punked Out. Huh interfered during the match and the Pyro Twins once again became the tag champs. It was revealed that they had joined Nykk's House of Lords faction, which he had formed with Huh, Ronin Fox, Cynric, Joey Sprinklers, Lisa Letty and Shadow.

House of Lords

With the Pyro Twins in the fold, the House of Lords was stronger than ever. But the MECCA loyalists were fighting back, and a returning Katie Piehl was brought back as an authority to end Nykk's shenanigans. She booked a tag team series for Liberty or Death where the winning side would be able to book the matches for Summertime Showdown in August. The Pyro Twins successfully defended the tag belts against Eddie Crowe and Alan Mayse, but the House of Lords ultimately lost the series. Piehl booked Jay and Dusty in a title defense against Kevin Stone and Bryan Danielson at Summertime Showdown, but all House of Lords members, who held all the titles at this point, would go on to win their matches, continuing their dominance. However, cracks started to appear when Ronin Fox lost the World Title to Danielson in September. Nykk and Lisa Letty would also lose a mixed tag match to Delirious and Shelirious at At Your Own Risk a couple of weeks later. This gave Delirious and Shelirious the right to a guaranteed title shot apiece. On the next Go Time, Delirious decided to go after the tag belts and picked Matt Sydal as his partner. They beat the Pyro Twins after interference from the House of Lords as well as MECCA loyalists.

At this time, The Briscoes made their MECCA debut and immediately went after the Pyro Twins, attacking them after a match. This led to a match at Scared Stiff, which the Pyro Twins won. The two teams continued brawling after the match, and over the next few weeks both wanted a shot at the tag belts. They ended up getting them in a Three Way Dance against Sydal and Delirious at No Regrets, but Sydal and Delirious were able to retain. With the MECCA vs. House of Lords rivalry coming to a head, a Best of Five series was booked for End of the Line in December. For their part, the Pyro Twins teamed with Lisa Letty against the Briscoes and Daizee Haze in a mixed tag match where men could go against women as long it was on the outside of the ring. The Pyro Twins and Lisa won the match, but the House of Lords would go on to lose the series. As a result, Nykk downsized the House of Lords, kicking out everyone who had lost their matches at End of the Line, except for Ronin Fox and Shadow, who held titles. As the House of Lords attempted to refocus, the Pyro Twins lost another tag team match to the Briscoes at Ignition. This allowed the Briscoes the chance to go for the tag belts against Nykk and Ronin Fox, who had won the titles from Sydal and Delirious in December. The Briscoes beat them on the February 27 edition of Go Time, and the Pyro Twins immediately made plans to go after the belts again. They won a Gauntlet Match at Melee for the right to face the Briscoes at The MECCA Challenge IV. However, the Briscoes would go on to retain, handing Jay and Dusty their first loss at a MECCA Challenge event.

After failing to win the titles back in a four-way match at New Dawn, the Pyro Twins feuded with two newcomers, Irish Airborne of Jake & Dave Crist. The Crists beat the Pyro Twins at Punked Out, and also a Triangle Match at Liberty or Death, which also involved The Surgeons. The Pyro Twins still weren't giving up on the tag belts, and competed in a four-way TLC Match at Summertime Showdown against Irish Airborne, The Consulate and Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon. Despite their best efforts, Ryan and Gary of EEE won the match when other members held back the Pyro Twins from stopping them from climbing the ladder. The Pyro Twins spent the fall working their way back into contention for the titles, and finally faced the current champions Eddie Crowe and Bryan Danielson on December 31, closing out 2008 by becoming three-time champs.

In late 2008, the Round Robin Faction War was announced, where MECCA's many factions would face one another in a series of elimination matches, where points would be scored based on the number of survivors. The top two scoring teams would face off in one more match at The MECCA Challenge V with guaranteed title shots on the line, while the three lowest scoring factions would have to disband. The House of Lords scored first blood when Jay teamed with Nykk and Fox to take on the Consulate in a six-man tag. Though Jay was eliminated, Fox and Nykk survived. Dusty also contributed by winning a singles match against The Necro Butcher of Luchacore, scoring a point for their side. Jay would also go on to defeat Necro in January, winning the Toughman Championship from him. His reign would be short-lived, as he lost the title to Huh at Bloody Valentine. However, Dusty would soon win the title from Huh, bringing it back to the House of Lords. When Melee rolled around, the Consulate was in the lead of the Round Robin Faction War, with the House of Lords tied in second place with EEE. They faced off in an eight-man tag to determine who would go on to compete against the Consulate and who would have to disband. Gary would go on to be the sole survivor, putting EEE ahead of the House of Lords in the rankings. Since that was their last match in the tournament, the House of Lords would have to disband. Jay and Dusty decided to stay together as a team, as did Nykk and Fox. On the next Go Time, they came out for a celebration of the two years their faction was together. However, Nykk and Fox turned on the Pyro Twins, beating them down. Nykk and Fox stated that after decades of being their friends, they were sick and tired of them and now wanted their Tag Team Championship.

Branching Out

The Pyro Twins defended their tag titles successfully against Nykk and Fox at the MECCA Challenge, but lost the belts to the Consulate on the May 6 Go Time. Soon after that, Dusty lost the Toughman Title to Ring of Honor's Bryan Danielson. They met Nykk and Fox in a rematch at New Dawn and won that match also. When Nykk and Fox showed respect afterward and were about to shake their hands, Team ROH attacked them, drawing the Pyro Twins into that feud. Jay qualified for the Eight-Man Throwdown and won it at Punked Out over Danielson, Roderick Strong and Robbie in the final four-way match. This granted him a shot at the MECCA World Championship at Summertime Showdown against the current title holder Anubis. Dusty would have joined in the Perimeter of Pain match on Team MECCA to face Team ROH, but since Nykk and Fox were on the team they could not team with Dusty due to the stipulation of losing the Round Robin Faction War. Dusty chose to challenge ROH World Champion Austin Aries at the event instead. But neither he or Jay were successful in bringing home gold.

Jay and Dusty continued with their goal to win the MECCA World Title after Summertime Showdown, but Anubis was able to hold onto the gold against both Dusty and Jay. As the months went on, Dusty became despondent about his singles career and pressured Jay into going after the tag belts again, even though Jay was looking to earn another shot at the World Title. But Jay agreed, and they received a shot at the tag titles on Go Time: Championship Edition in February 2009. They won the belts from the champions Bloodlust and were successful in the rematch at Six-Man Melee a couple of weeks later. However, they ran into a roadblock when they faced the new team of Austin Lee and Anubis at Kick Start, losing the titles to them. In the mean time, Jay had been successful in earning a shot at the World Title, now held by Jamie Chan. On the next Go Time, Jay received his title match, but lost to Chan. After the match, Dusty came out to console him, but ended up turning on him and throwing a fireball in his face and putting Jay out of action for a few weeks.

Fire and Darkness

Two weeks later, Dusty revealed that he felt Jay had abandoned him by having ambitions beyond their team. He felt Jay had neglected him, and challenged him to come out. But he got Eddie Crowe instead. Their confrontation was interrupted by an attack by Eddie's opponent, but they faced off on the April 14 Go Time in a match that went to a no-contest when Dusty chased the ref off with a blowtorch and tried to burn Eddie. Jay then made his return and turned the tables, but Eddie stopped him from burning Dusty with the blowtorch. Jay then challenged Dusty to face him at The MECCA Challenge VI. They met at the event, and Dusty managed to get a cheap win after a wild brawl. Jay continued to try to get payback on Dusty, with Eddie getting involved trying to make peace. When that failed, Jay attacked Dusty again, and accidentally hit his own brother with a fireball. Eddie was out nursing his burns for a couple of weeks, but when he came back he added himself to to Jay and Dusty's rematch at New Dawn, making it a Triangle Match. However, Dusty was able to once again squeak out a win.

Jay and Dusty spent the next couple of weeks costing one another the chance to qualify for the Eight-Man Throwdown. They met once again at Punked Out, with Dusty once again getting the win. Getting desperate, Jay grew more violent with Dusty to the point where Katie Piehl canceled their match at Never Say Die due to safety concerns. Dusty and Jay found each other anyway and brawled all over the arena. It only ended when Dusty stuffed Jay into a suitcase and lit it on fire. Jay escaped with minor burns, and challenged Dusty to one last match at Summertime Showdown in the Ring of Fire. Dusty accepted, and Jay finally managed to get the win at the event by lighting Dusty on fire.

After the match, Jay was attacked by Jimmy Jacobs, who joined in beating down Jay along with Dusty, and they put Jay through a flaming table. Dusty had moved on to join Jacobs's Absence of Light faction. Dusty wasted no time in securing a title shot, but was unable to unseat Nykk at At Your Own Risk under relaxed rules. Dusty continued to help Jacobs, especially after Jacobs won the World Title. In December, Nykk, the Wild Wolf and the returning Jay Crowe challenged he, Jacobs and Torea to a Six-Man War at End of the Line, which they accepted. The Absence of Light lost the match after Ronin Fox ran off Jacobs, allowing their opponents to finish off himself and Torea.

Soon after this, Daniel Cubman, renamed Dreggs, would join the Absence of Light. Dusty teams with him and Torea to win a six-man tag at Ignition, and then entered the Trios Tag League tournament in an attempt to win the guaranteed title shots and protect the World Title of Jimmy Jacobs. They defeated Icarus and High Def in the first round, as well as the team of Drake Younger and the UK Wrecking Crew at Kick Start. They would go on to the finals at The MECCA Challenge VII, beating the team of Ronin Fox, Jay Crowe, and Gran Akuma. However, Jacobs would lose the World Title to Jamie Chan later in the night, which left Dusty free to pursue his own title shot. He cashed in the opportunity at Punked Out, but was unable to defeat Chan.

With the war against the Absence of Light heating up, a Perimeter of Pain match was booked for Summertime Showdown. In the meantime, Jay, Fox, and Eddie Crowe would take on Jacobs, Dusty, and Torea in a six-man tag at Never Say Die with the stipulation that whoever took the fall would not be allowed to compete in the Perimeter of Pain, which the Absence of Light won when Jacobs defeated Jay. The Absence of Light would recruit their favorite gun for hire Jimmy Rave for the Perimeter of Pain, but lost the match to Chan, Fox, Eddie, Akuma, and the Wild Wolf. Immediately thereafter, both Jimmy Jacobs and his benefactor Katie Piehl left MECCA.

Reignition

Dusty continued to team with Torea after Summertime Showdown, and they earned their way into the 30-Minute Iron Team Match at At Your Own Risk for the tag titles. They came up short, and Dusty struck out on his own again. He was the runner-up in the battle royale at Scared Stiff and lost a match for the Toughman Championship on the November 9 episode of Go Time. Visibly frustrated after the loss, Dusty would lay low for several weeks. He returned at No Regrets, alongside his former partner Jay Crowe, reforming the Pyro Twins. They inserted themselves into the Triangle tag match, making it a Four Corners match, and ended up winning. On the next Go Time, they attacked Jamie Chan after his match and attempted to light him on fire. They were also confronted by Ronin Fox, who had been a regular partner of Jay's all year, and he was beat down as well. The Pyro Twins scored the victory over Fox and Chan on December 7, but Fox wasn't through with them. He challenged Jay to a singles match at End of the Line, and also challenged Dusty to keep out of it. At the event, Jay and Dusty attacked Chan and Tristan Lee after their match, prompting Fox to run out. Dusty fought with Chan and Lee back to the dressing room, which effectively kept him out of Jay and Fox's match.
