He is best known for being one of the longest reigning MECCA World Champions, as well as being part of The EDJ along with his brother Jay Crowe and his friend Dusty Schneble. He has been considered one of MECCA's franchise players since rising to the main event scene in early 2006, and is a triple crown champion, having one every male MECCA title at least once.

Early career

Eddie began to train in 2004 under Jon Z, following in the footsteps of his brother Jay and his friend Dusty Schneble. He worked various independents during the year and debuted in RCW in the latter half of 2004.

Renegade Championship Wrestling (2004-2005)

Crowe made his debut under a mask as the mysterious Bluejay, with the name being a rib on his brother Jay Crowe. He first competed on the October 5 episode of Foundation in one of the 15-man battle royales as part of a tournament to crown the first RCW Television Champion, but was eliminated by Shawn Luss. He was paired in a team with the masked Black Blade, and they primarily competed in preliminary matches. In early 2005, RCW went dark after financial problems. Even though Crowe had already debuted in MECCA under his real name, he donned the mask one last time when the competitors of RCW said goodbye at WrestlingRevolution II, teaming with Black Blade in a losing effort against Alan Mayse and Kevin Stone in a tag team match.

Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2005-2015)

SELF

With RCW's funds gone and the promotion caught up in a legal battle with its creditors, Nykk hastily put together a deal of his own. He started MECCA, which at first stood for the Midwestern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts, in order to save the jobs of the workers and crew of RCW. Eddie made his debut at their first pay-per-view, Bloody Valentine on February 12, 2005. He appeared in the crowd, dressed like his mentor CM Punk, who he had been training with. Punk pointed him out to The Pyro Twins as a way to keep them on his side. It was obvious that Eddie had become enamored with Punk, and Punk threatened to destroy his mind unless Jay and Dusty did his bidding. The Pyro Twins reluctantly joined them, and they formed The Straight Edge Lifestyle Foundation (SELF). Eddie made his wrestling debut on the February 22 episode of Go Time with a victory over Delirious. He would dress and act like Punk, vigorously following his militant straight-edge lifestyle, and it was clear that Eddie was completely under his control. Eddie would help Punk in his fight against his enemies, namely Nykk. Eddie learned his lessons well, starting an undefeated streak in singles competition with wins over veterans like Psychosis. He cost Cynric a win in a six-man tag they were involved in, earning his ire. But Eddie had the Pyro Twins to back him up, while Cynric only had his brother Ronin Fox, who went down to an injury. Cynric went out and recruited his old tag team partner Kevin Stone, as well as indy star Amazing Red, to take on Eddie and the Pyro Twins at the first MECCA Challenge in April. Eddie got the win for his team, and appeared later in the night after the main event to crown the first MECCA Champion between Nykk and Punk. When Punk won the title and showed respect to Nykk by shaking his hand after the match, Eddie ran in and gave Nykk a low blow from behind. Eddie held Nykk for Punk, who busted him open with the title belt and then smeared it with Nykk's own blood.

Nykk wanted his rematch with Punk, but first he vowed to teach Eddie a lesson. MECCA co-owner Katie Piehl gave Nykk his choice of opponent for Punked Out at the end of May, and Nykk chose Eddie. Nykk used veteran tactics to beat Eddie at the event, handing him his first singles loss. A feud would develop between SELF and The Eccentric Alliance, with Eddie holding up his end by defeating Cheesecake at Midsummer Night Slam. The two groups met in an eight-man elimination tag at Liberty or Death, and Eddie lasted until the very end but could not overcome 2-1 odds against Cheesecake and Spanky.

After the match, Punk was goaded into a title match by Nykk and ended up losing the belt. This sent Punk into a rage, and he became even more physically abusive toward Eddie. After a couple of weeks, Eddie's brother Jay had had enough and attacked Punk. but Eddie came to his mentor's aid and laid out Jay. Dusty seemed torn, but ended up leaving the ring with Punk and Eddie. Dusty's status continued to be in doubt even as Jay challenged Punk to a match at Summertime Showdown at the end of August. Punk used Eddie as a shield during their match, and even used him as a weapon against Jay. Dusty then came out and attacked Jay as well. But it turned out to be a ruse, as Jay and Dusty then laid out Punk, allowing Jay to get the win. After the match, Punk announced he was leaving MECCA, which made Eddie distraught. Even with his mentor betraying and leaving him, Eddie was still obsessed with Punk and refused to shake the Pyro Twins' hands.

After Summertime Showdown, Eddie decided that he would follow Punk's vision and rebuild SELF. The Pyro Twins responded with some tough love and beat him and Acid at the company's first TV special At Your Own Risk. Eddie didn't get the message, and on October 11, one week after the Pyro Twins cost their rivals The UK Wrecking Crew their MECCA Tag Team Championship, Eddie and remaining SELF member Trent Acid would introduce them as the newest members of SELF. Recognizing the threat this presented, Nykk and Ronin Fox rallied the troops, but on October 25 SELF defeated Nykk, Fox, Cynric and Alan Mayse in an eight-man tag. Eddie defeated his brother at Scared Stiff a few days later, and helped the UK Wrecking Crew regain the tag titles. However, when they came out to gloat on the November 2 episode of Go Time, the UKWC interrupted Eddie's spiel. They beat him down, and Acid ran away rather than protect his leader. The UKWC revealed that all this was to get in the heads of the Pyro Twins and they had no need of Eddie now that their restraining order against Jay and Dusty had been renewed.

Championship Gold

Eddie required medical attention after the attack and was out for several weeks. On November 30, the Pyro Twins confronted Acid and revealed that all their differences with Eddie had been patched up over the holiday weekend. Eddie made his return and went after Acid, who once again ran away. Eddie beat Acid in a match at New Year's Knockout and then turned his attention toward the UK Wrecking Crew. He also entered the tournament to crown the first Toughman Champion, and defeated Nate Webb in the first round, but would lose a Triangle match in the second round. He took on Andy Nathans of the UKWC at Snowed In, but lost after interference from Jack Fletcher. But he would come back with a huge victory on February 8, scoring the pin over MECCA Champion Kevin Stone in a ten-man tag. Eddie then beat Nathans in a rematch to earn a spot on the Contender Star, which put him in the Supernova Spectacle five-way match on February 22. Eddie won the match and a shot at the MECCA Championship at The MECCA Challenge II.

Eddie would face Kevin Stone one on one at the MECCA Challenge II, winning the MECCA Championship. One of his first challengers was Ronin Fox, and Eddie lost the match by DQ after interference, keeping the title. Eddie would go on to defeat Low Ki in a title match at Punked Out, earning the respect of the martial artist. Eddie defeated Fox's brother Cynric at Midsummer Night Slam, the same night that Bryan Danielson won the first ever Six Pack Apocalypse match for a shot at the title at Summertime Showdown. Eddie would go on to defeat Danielson in a very hard fought match on the show, but his and the Pyro Twins' old enemies the UK Wrecking Crew also made their return after a hiatus. They cost the Pyro Twins the tag belts, and then set their sights on Eddie. Jack Fletcher pinned Eddie in a tag team match on August 30, and the next week Andy Nathans got the pin over Eddie in a non-title match after putting his feet on the ropes. On the next Go Time, Eddie said he would let them decide who got a title shot against him. The UK Wrecking Crew said they both wanted a title shot, and to make it a Triangle match. Eddie agreed, and the three men met at At Your Own Risk, with Eddie coming out on top.

After that event, Ronin Fox came back around, looking for a title shot since Eddie had never beaten him back in May. They met at Scared Stiff in a match that was thrown out due to interference from Cynric and the rest of the EDJ. Once again, a Fox/Eddie match had gone to an indecisive conclusion. But Fox had his own problems with the returning Nykk, who was out for Fox's blood, and Eddie was able to participate in the Championship Series, where every male title holder would put their title on the line against another champion. Eddie retained his title over Cynric, and the next week Eddie teamed with Toughman Champion Alan Mayse to defeat Fox and Cynric for the Tag Team Championship. Their reign was short-lived, however, as they lost the belts ten days later at No Regrets to The Killer Kanines. Meanwhile, Bryan Danielson had been working his way back up the ranks after his loss to Eddie at Summertime Showdown, and had finally made it back onto the Contender Star. He won a rematch against Eddie at New Year's Knockout, but Eddie once again handed him a defeat. As 2007 began, Eddie was not only still being hounded by Fox, but had joined the fight against The David Caldwell Project, who looked to turn MECCA Wrestling into David Caldwell Sports Entertainment. Loyal MECCA wrestlers Eddie, Fox, Cynric and Stone were put against the David Caldwell Project in an eight-man elimination tag on January 17, but disaster struck when Eddie accidentally nailed Cynric, causing him to be eliminated. Fox gave Eddie the Tail End in retaliation, causing him to be pinned and Fox left with Cynric, leading to a Team MECCA loss. Fox would go on to win the Six Man Apocalypse match at Bloody Valentine to earn a shot at the World Title at The MECCA Challenge III in April.

Fox and Eddie met in the main event at the show, and the match was almost ruined when Cynric interfered, only to be stopped by Nykk. Eddie went on to win the match, finally beating Fox clean, and Fox confronted Eddie after the match only to be accosted by Lisa Letty. It turned out to be a ruse, as Lisa gave Eddie a low blow. As they celebrated, Nykk came back out and embraced them both, revealing a new alliance. They continued to brutalize Eddie, as well as any roster members who came out to try and make the save.

Loss and Revenge

Nykk, Fox, Lisa and several others had formed The House of Lords, which Nykk used to take back the power in MECCA he had lost upon its inception. Naturally, their first order of business was the World Title. It seemed there was some dissension at first as both Nykk and Fox seemed keen on facing Eddie at New Dawn. Nykk and Fox faced Alan Mayse and Low Ki on May 9, with the stipulation that the winner of the fall would get the title shot. However, the match ended with both Nykk and Fox covering Alan for a three count. Nykk would eventually get the title shot, but was defeated by Eddie after a hard fought match. Afterward, Nykk told Eddie that the winner of the fall was supposed to get a title shot, but that match on Go Time had two winners. He told him he would now face Fox with the title on the line. Fox then defeated an exhausted Eddie to end his thirteen month long title reign.

Eddie desperately wanted his title back, and entered the first Eight-Man Throwdown at Punked Out, where the winner would get a title shot at Summertime Showdown. However, Eddie ended up on the same team as House of Lords member Joey Sprinklers in the random eight-man tag, and Joey's sole purpose was to make sure Eddie didn't win. He sabotaged the match, and their opponents picked up the victory to move on to the four-way finals later in the show. It didn't help matters later when his fellow EDJ members the Pyro Twins abandoned him and joined the House of Lords after getting their help in winning the tag belts back. Eddie and Alan Mayse would team up on the next Go Time to defeat Nykk and Fox, and afterward Eddie confronted the Pyro Twins, letting them know that they had two new contenders to worry about. Katie Piehl would make her return soon after and propose a Best of Three tag team series at Liberty or Death where if her guys won she would get to book the House of Lords' matches at Summertime Showdown, but they would get that same power if they won. Eddie and Mayse faced the Pyro Twins for the tag titles in the second match in the series, but were unsuccessful.

Undaunted, Eddie continued his quest to get the World Title back and entered a Four Way Dance at Summertime Showdown, where the winner would receive a future title shot. Eddie beat Trent Acid, Delirious and Matt Sydal to win the match, and with all House of Lords members showing their dominance and winning their matches that night, it looked like Eddie would face Fox for the title at At Your Own Risk. However, Fox would lose the title to Bryan Danielson on September 12, and Katie Piehl was unwilling to change the advertised matches. Eddie beat Fox in a non-title match at the event and was promised he would get his shot at the World Title at Scared Stiff. He was set to face Danielson, but the House of Lords could not leave it alone. They spent weeks sowing dissension between Eddie and Danielson, trying to convince one that the other was joining the House of Lords. They did stay out of the match itself, which was won by Danielson. The House of Lords intervened afterward, attacking both men after they showed respect to one another. But the attack ended up uniting Eddie and Danielson as they cleaned house on Nykk and his friends.

As the year's end neared, things between the MECCA loyalists and the House of Lords had come to a head. Nykk and company had lost half of the titles they had held, and Katie Piehl felt it was the time for a final strike. She proposed a Best of Five series for End of the Line, with control of the company on the line. Eddie was set to be part of an eight-man tag on the event, but three days beforehand he was attacked backstage by Joey Sprinklers and Huh, putting him out of action. Eddie showed up to End of the Line anyway, purchasing a front row ticket to watch Huh, Joey, Cynric and Alan Mayse take on The Lee Brothers, Delirious, and Matt Sydal. Eddie took the opportunity to pick a fight with Huh and distract him, leading to a victory for the MECCA loyalists. Team MECCA would go on to win the series, and control of the company fell back into Katie Piehl's hands. On the next Go Time, both Huh and Joey were fired by Nykk, and no longer had any protection from Eddie. He chased them for weeks but finally got both of them at the same time in a Handicap match at Ignition. Eddie defeated both men to get his revenge, but during the whole chase he had incurred the ire of Alan Mayse, who had also been fired from the House of Lords. Then on February 6, Eddie made history by becoming the first ever triple crown winner in MECCA by defeating The Wild Wolf for the Toughman Championship on Go Time: Championship Edition. Alan immediately approached him about a title shot, and then sneak attacked Eddie when his back was turned. This led to a Toughman Title match at The MECCA Challenge IV, which Eddie won. Alan was enraged after the match and attacked Eddie's ankle, reapplying his Anklebreaker submission and injuring the champ. Alan then challenged Eddie to a rematch for New Dawn in a Ladder Match. During the match, Alan damaged Eddie's ankle to the point that he couldn't climb the ladder, and Alan won the Toughman Title.

Eddie would cost Alan the Toughman Title on the next Go Time, and then beat him to win their series on July 23. Eddie was then the target of the wrestling fraternity of Epsilon Epsilon Epsilon. They clashed several times over the summer, and Eddie teamed with Huh, The Wild Wolf and Tristan Lee to defeat Robbie, Omar, Cubby and Captain Epsilon at Summertime Showdown. On the next episode of Go Time, Eddie competed in a Supernova Spectacle for a shot at World Champion Anubis at At Your Own Risk. But he was the first eliminated after interference from Ronin Fox, leading to him being pinned by Nykk. Eddie then teamed with his friend Bryan Danielson to beat Nykk and Fox the next week, but were attacked after the match. Eddie would face Nykk one on one at At Your Own Risk and would come out on top. But Fox and Nykk once again attacked Eddie on the next Go Time, not willing to let it go. Eddie and Danielson would have a rematch against Nykk and Fox at Scared Stiff and once again defeat them. Full of confidence in their team, Eddie and Danielson received a title shot against EEE on the next Go Time, and beat Ryan and Gary to win the belts.

Despite being champs, Eddie and Danielson still had individual goals, and Eddie competed in a battle royale for a World Title shot at No Regrets, while Danielson competed for the World Title. The Pyro Twins wanted to get the tag titles back and challenged Eddie and Danielson for End of the Line, but Danielson received a rematch for the World Title and Eddie chose to team with Austin Lee against Jay and Dusty in a non-title match. Eddie was pinned to end the match, earning the Pyro Twins their title shot. They won the belts from Eddie and Danielson on the December 31 episode of Go Time. Without the titles, Eddie could now concentrate on regaining the World Title. He entered the Six-Man Apocalypse match at Bloody Valentine, and won the match after entering at #19, last eliminating Ronin Fox for the victory. However, dissension also grew between him and Danielson when Danielson slapped Eddie in the face after being eliminated in the 6MA. After some tension, they agreed to a match at Melee. On March 18, Katie Piehl allowed them to pick one another's opponents for the show. Eddie defeated Danielson's pick, Yoshiaki Yago, and then revealed that his pick for Danielson was Delirious. But Danielson and Delirious turned on Eddie, working together to beat him down. Eddie defeated Danielson at Melee, but was once again attacked by Delirious. It was revealed that Danielson and Delirious, both also wrestling for Ring of Honor, were planning to launch an ROH invasion in MECCA. But Eddie's first concern was the World Title. Eddie became the first man to score a pinfall over Anubis since he won the title in a tag match on April 8. But at The MECCA Challenge V, Eddie was unable to win the title and was defeated by Anubis.

Eddie sought a rematch, and Anubis said he could have it if Eddie won a match of his choosing. The next week, Anubis told him he would be facing all four members of The Consulate in a Handicap match. Katie Piehl intervened, and said when she gave Anubis this responsibility he agreed to only choose one opponent, and that's how it was going to be. Anubis chose Jamie Chan, who beat Eddie after the champion interfered. Katie wasn't having that either and booked Eddie and The Briscoes against Anubis and Bloodlust on May 20 with the stipulation that Eddie would get his title shot at New Dawn if he scored the fall. Eddie rose to the challenge and submitted Torea, but once again lost to Anubis at New Dawn. After that loss, Eddie turned his attention back to Team ROH, who had made a lot of enemies in the meantine, and Eddie faced Danielson on the next Go Time. They went to a no-contest after Team ROH, Nykk, and Fox all interfered. Eddie would reunite with the Pyro Twins later in the show to hand Team ROH their first defeat in tag team action. When the Perimeter of Pain was announced for Summertime Showdown to settle the feud, Nykk and Fox were made co-captains of Team MECCA. Eddie was their first choice to be on their team, and later on they would add Robbie and Gary from EEE. At Summertime Showdown, Team MECCA defeated Bryan Danielson, Takeshi Morishima, Davey Richards, Roderick Strong and Eddie Edwards to win the feud and send Team ROH packing.

Eddie competed in a Contender's Gauntlet at At Your Own Risk, but lost to his brother Jay during the match. Eddie then set his sights on Takeshi Morishima, who was still able to compete in MECCA due to being on the Contender Star, and wanted payback for Morishima eliminating him back in the Perimeter of Pain. They met at Scared Stiff, and Eddie defeated Morishima to send him back to Japan for good. After that, Eddie feuded with DP Associates and the Consulate, losing to Are$ at End of the Line after some chicanery. Eddie got the win back at Ignition and once again entered the Six-Man Melee match, making it to the very end before falling to Alan Mayse. His feud with the Consulate continued into March and he teamed with Jamie Chan and Davey Richards against them at Kick Start and lost a Boston Massacre match. Eddie went on to The MECCA Challenge VI to compete in a Toughman Gauntlet for the title. He defeated Tristan Lee and Daniel Cubman before being knocked out by Davey Richards. Eddie then interjected himself into the feud between Jay Crowe and Dusty Schneble, trying to play peacemaker before it got out of hand. But he got clocked by his own brother during a scuffle, and Eddie wanted to teach them some tough love. The former EDJ met in a Triangle match at New Dawn, which Dusty won.

Over the summer, Eddie developed a rivalry with Ryan Andrews, sometimes teaming with Ronin Fox to face Andrews and Ares. But a new threat also emerged in Jimmy Jacobs and The Absence of Light, who wanted to dismantle the company and bring it into the darkness. When Dusty joined Jacobs and they put Jay Crowe out of action with severe burns, Eddie attacked them. This led to an Anything Goes match against Jacobs at At Your Own Risk, which Jacobs won. Unfortunately, Eddie injured his knee during the match and would be out of the ring for about eight months. He made his return in June 2011, attacking the Absence of Light and making the save for World Champion Jamie Chan. Eddie sought his rematch against Jacobs, and beat him in a No DQ match at Punked Out. A Perimeter of Pain match was booked between a team headed by Jamie Chan against the Absence of Light for Summertime Showdown, and Eddie was picked to be on Team MECCA. They would go on to defeat the Absence of Light, putting Jimmy Jacobs and his benefactor Katie Piehl out of MECCA.

Friends and Family

Eddie would go on to defeat Ryan Andrews on the next episode of Go Time, and the next week confronted World Champion Jamie Chan, challenging him to a title match at At Your Own Risk. Chan accepted the challenge, but was interrupted by Nykk, who had returned earlier that night as a new commentator. He said he was getting into management and that he had already signed his first client, which was the World Champion Jamie Chan. Chan denied this, but when he confronted Nykk, Eddie attacked him from behind. Eddie and Nykk beat down Chan, revealing that it was Eddie who was Nykk's first client. They would continue to ambush Chan and put the pressure on him over the next several weeks until Chan snapped on September 21, taking it to Eddie and Nykk in their own dressing room. Chan beat down Eddie in a brawl that spilled out into the hallway and parking lot, with Eddie finally managing to get away in his rental car. This prompted the board of directors to declare that if Chan was disqualified in his match against Eddie at the pay-per-view, he would lose his championship. During the title match, Nykk brought a chair to the ring, which Chan got a hold of. When the ref tried to take it away, Eddie attacked Chan from behind, causing him to shove the ref down with the chair. The ref disqualified Chan and Eddie had won the belt back after four years of trying.

Eddie's first challenge came from the man who ended his first title reign, Ronin Fox. Fox attempted to get into Eddie's head by making him question whether Nykk was really on his side or whether Fox and Nykk were in cahoots again, just like when Fox won the title from Eddie four years before. There appeared to be some uncertainty on Eddie's part, but Nykk squashed all doubts by helping him defeat Fox at Scared Stiff. Eddie would go on to defeat Chan in a rematch on the November 9 episode of Go Time, as well as new challenger Marcus Kavian at No Regrets. On that same night, Anubis won a Steel Cage Match, ending his feud with Ryan Andrews. He was declared the new number one contender, and faced Eddie for the title at End of the Line. During the match, Eddie tried to use the belt as a weapon while the ref was down. Anubis wrested it away and nailed Eddie with it, not realizing in the heat of the moment that it was a fake belt made of cardboard and aluminum. Eddie played dead, allowing Nykk to come in with the real belt and nail Anubis, leading to Eddie getting the victory. Eddie would face Anubis in a rematch the following month at Ignition, again coming out on top. In the following months, Eddie's former stablemates in the EDJ the Pyro Twins would join Nykk's stable, and they began referring to themselves as The Circle of Trust. Eddie continued his reign with the World Title until The MECCA Challenge VIII on April 28, where he lost it to Austin Lee.

The idea behind the Circle of Trust was that membership could only be friends or family of other members, so with that in mind they added Gary Kopp, Jay's brother-in-law, to their ranks on the episode of Go Time following the MECCA Challenge. The Circle of Trust would help Eddie in his quest to regain the World Title. Eddie met Lee in a rematch for the belt in a Last Man Standing Match at New Dawn, but lost. Eddie did not give up, qualifying for Eight-Man Throwdown at Punked Out, with a title shot as the prize for the winner. Eddie made it all the way to the end, but was defeated by winner Ronin Fox. From there, Eddie and the Circle of Trust shifted focus to the newly announced MECCA Legacy Championship. A tournament was held to crown the first champion throughout the summer, and Eddie defeated The Wild Wolf in the first round, received a bye in the quarter-finals due to his bother Jay's and Tristan Lee's first round match going to a draw, and beat Jack Evans in the semi-finals. He went on to the finals at Summertime Showdown, but lost to Alex Shelley. He also competed in the Stiff Strike Challenge, but was again unable to win.

All these losses were taking a toll on Eddie and the Circle of Trust, and they made a move in early 2013 to ally themselves with the The Near Future, another prominent faction, in order to neuter the power of MECCA's authority, Cynric. They agreed that members of each faction would not seek title shots against belts held by members of the other faction, amongst other things. They worked together until Six-Man Melee, when Eddie won the 6MM match, guaranteeing him a shot at the World Champion, which happened to be the Near Future's Marcus Kavian. The Circle of Trust soon betrayed Kavian, beating him down on the next episode of Go Time. This incurred the wrath of the rest of the Near Future, and a war was ignited between the two factions. They met in an eight-man tag match at Kick Start, with the Circle of Trust coming out on top. Despite having momentum on their side, Eddie was unable to take the World Title from Kavian at The MECCA Challenge IX. The war continued in the weeks that followed, and Eddie worked his way into a rematch, winning the title for a third time from Kavian at Punked Out. After a successful defense at Summertime Showdown against Eight-Man Throwdown winner and the man who beat him the previous year, Alex Shelley, Kavian's former partner Torea got involved in a feud with the Circle of Trust. Eddie used shady tactics to retain against him at At Your Own Risk, but Torea sought a rematch. It occurred on the October 9 episode of Go Time, with both men wrestling to a 60 minute time limit draw. This prompted one more match to settle the feud at Scared Stiff, which Cynric made a 60 Minute Iron Man Match. After an hour of battling, Eddie succumbed to Torea and lost the title. Eddie then turned his attention back to the feud with the Near Future, and defeated Kavian in their rubber match at No Regrets. A Perimeter of Pain Match was announced for End of the Line to end the war between the two factions, and the Circle of Trust tried to pull a fast one by giving themselves a one man advantage by adding Nykk to the mix. The Near Future countered by inaugurating a new member to their faction, the Ladies' Champion Melissa Flash. It came down to Kavian and Eddie in the Perimeter of Pain, with Kavian finally scoring the win.

Breaking the Circle

After their loss to the Near Future, the blame seemed to be placed on the Pyro Twins. Nykk made a show of getting them a shot at the Tag Team Championship, only to pull them at the last minute and insert Eddie and Gary Kopp in their place at Ignition. Eddie and Kopp would beat the champions Alex Shelley and Brian Kendrick by disqualification when the Pyro Twins got involved. The Pyro Twins insisted on getting their shot at the tag belts, despite Nykk's reluctance, and were able to do so at Six-Man Melee. Shelley and Kendrick won the match when Nykk turned on Jay and Dusty, costing them the match. Eddie and Kopp helped beat them down after the match, and putting Jay through a flaming table. The Pyro Twins promised hell to pay when they got back, but in the meantime Eddie and Kopp were able to become the new Tag Team Champions on the March 5 episode of Go Time. The Pyro Twins defeated Eddie and Kopp for the belts at The MECCA Challenge X, and again in a Tables Match at New Dawn.

In an attempt to rebuild the Circle of Trust, Nykk made the invitation for his own cousin Ryan Andrews to join. Andrews was reluctant, having recently separated from his tag partner Jimmy Rave to try and succeed on his own. He agreed to join on a trial basis, but he did not mesh well with the other members. Both Eddie and Andrews made it to the end of Eight-Man Throwdown at Punked Out, but neither were able to win. On the next episode of Go Time, Andrews officially turned Nykk down. An infuriated Nykk instigated a beatdown from Eddie and Kopp, leaving Andrews injured for a few weeks. In the meantime, Jimmy Rave approached Nykk about joining the Circle of Trust even though he wasn't family or a family friend, stating that Ryan left him high and dry as well. Nykk said he would think about it, but when he went to shake hands, Rave blasted him with a clothesline. He fought off Eddie and Kopp, and said that he would never join the likes of them after what they did to Ryan, a man he considered a brother. After Andrews made his return, he and Rave faced off against Eddie and Kopp at Summertime Showdown, with the Circle of Trust getting the victory. Eddie and Andrews were both involved in the Four Corners World Title Match at At Your Own Risk, but neither man was able to win the title. They faced off one on one at Scared Stiff, with Eddie getting the win after receiving help from Kopp. In response, Andrews wanted one more match with him where his friends wouldn't be a factor. They met at No Regrets in a Steel Cage Match, with Andrews finally getting the win over his rival. When he and Kopp took several key losses over the next couple of months, Nykk finally severed ties by having Kopp turn on Eddie on the January 7 episode of Go Time, officially putting an end to the Circle of Trust.

Retirement

Eddie found himself back in the fans' good graces as he sought revenge against Kopp and Nykk. They went back and forth for the next month until Eddie decisively beat Kopp on the February 25 episode of Go Time. After that, Eddie sought and received a shot at the World Title at Kick Start, but lost to current champion and old enemy Marcus Kavian. Eddie would go on to compete in the Battlebrawl at The MECCA Challenge XI, lasting until the very end when he was defeated by the Wild Wolf. In an attempt to get another title shot, Eddie qualified for the Eight-Man Throwdown at Punked Out. His team won the eight-man tag, but Eddie was eliminated in the Four Way Dance after he man he had just pinned, Terrence Bolton, brutally attacked him, leaving him easy prey for Marcus Kavian to defeat. Eddie sought a match against Bolton, but he stalled as much as he could before finally agreeing to face Eddie at Summertime Showdown. However, Eddie had made the decision to leave the wrestling business in order to pursue a new career. Bolton won the encounter at Summertime Showdown, which was Eddie's final match with the company.
