Early career
Misery began to train in late 2003 under Jon Z in Dayton, Ohio. She debuted the following year and worked various independents for the next year.
Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2005-2012)
Ladies' Division Original
Misery made her MECCA debut on their very first show on January 4, 2005. She competed in a Turmoil Match to crown the first Ladies' Champion, but lost in the first encounter to Shadow. She was eventually able to work her way up the ranks and face the champion Lisa Letty for the MECCA Ladies' Championship at Punked Out in May, but came up short. During the summer she joined Shadow, LuFisto and Gail Kim in The Dangerous Liaison, a group hell bent on capturing the Ladies' Title and controlling the ladies' division. They did just that under their leader Shadow and later Kim, as they held the title and used their other members to keep it. Eventually the rest of the ladies' division banded together and fought back. At The MECCA Challenge II, the Dangerous Liaison teamed with Molly Greenwald to face Lisa Letty, Kelly Schweickart, Zoe Alexander, Heather Star, and Daizee Haze in a ten-woman elimination tag match, where if the Dangerous Liaison won they would get booking power over the ladies' division, but if they lost they would have to disband. They lost, and Misery was back on her own again.
Misery continued to compete throughout 2006 and early 2007, but did not have much success. She left the company that spring, her last match being a loss to Sara Del Rey on the May 4 episode of Rundown.
