Professional wrestling career

Early career

Naomi Leach began to train in 2001 under Jon Z, who was also training her friend Nykk, who she met at her job. He mentioned he was under training to become a wrestler and Leach, a lifelong fan, decided to check it out as well and ultimately began to train. She debuted the following year and worked various independents for the following months.

Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling/Renegade Championship Wrestling (2003-2005)

The Beginning

In July of 2003, Jon Z started his own promotion Future Pay-Per-View Wrestling. One of the things he wanted was a strong women's division, and Leach was amongst the first lady wrestlers he hired. She debuted at FPPVW's first event in May 2003, Premiere Showcase on the losing end of a four-way match involving Kai Kitta, Kara Draxus, and Vix. She faced Kitta again in a singles match at Shut Up and Wrestle, but the match went to a twenty-minute time limit draw. She faced Kitta and Draxus in a three-way match the next month at Breakout, and Naomi won the match after pinning Draxus, who Kitta had stopped from using a chair to her advantage. She made her Foundation debut on September 26, losing to Kara Draxus in a singles match. After being beaten and then attacked by Erica Porter the next week, she teamed with Kai Kitta to face Draxus and Porter at Homecoming Hell but suffered another loss.

In December, a Ladies' Championship was introduced, and Leach was immediately entered into the tournament to crown the first champion. She beat Lisa Letty in the first round, and Jade in the semi-finals. The final round against Kai Kitta took place at Darkest Night, and Naomi won the match and the title, shaking hands with her opponent after the match. Kitta would pursue a title shot over the next few months, but Leach seemed reluctant to give her a rematch, saying the match should be saved for a special occasion. Jon Z told Shadow that FPPVW's first anniversary show WrestlingRevolution was a special occasion, and Kitta received her rematch. Naomi took several shortcuts in order to win, and would not release her finishing hold after the bell until threatened with reversal. But after seeming to calm down and help Kitta to her feet, she attacked again and reapplied her hold. On the next Foundation, Naomi said all she wanted was to show Kitta the right way to do things and to stay out of her way, but she couldn't even do that.

Kitta took a sabbatical following WrestlingRevolution, but in May vignettes began airing for a mysterious woman named Shadow. Leach, meanwhile, developed a rivalry with one of her trainers, Precious Lucy, now going by LuFisto. They met for the title at Sunstroke, and Naomi won after unexpected interference from Shadow. Naomi Leach began to take an interest in Shadow, wanting to use her the same way she tried to use Kitta. They teamed up at Firestorm and lost to the team of LuFisto and Lisa Letty, with Naomi taking the pin from Letty. Naomi blamed Shadow, who remained stoic. With a victory over Naomi on Foundation in the following weeks, LuFisto was catapulted into the title picture along with Letty. However, LuFisto left the company after the three-way match was booked for Bloodbath, leaving a spot open. Naomi managed to get Shadow inserted into the match. However, Shadow turned on her ally and hit Leach with the Interceptor, Kai Kitta's favorite move, before pinning her. She unmasked after the match, revealing she had been Kai Kitta all along.

Leach received her rematch at Homecoming Hell in October, but Shadow won after using similar shortcuts that Naomi did in their earlier match. The fight continued after the match was over, and Leach received another title shot at Darkest Night. Shadow won, and afterward Naomi actually seemed pleased. Naomi told her she was finally worthy to be her shadow, and Shadow knelt before her before they left the ring together. However, no one would know how this played out, as shortly into 2005 the promotion went dark. The roster would reunite for one last show, WrestlingRevolution II in May 2005, before shutting its doors. Shadow retained the title in a three-way match against Lisa Letty and Naomi Leach on the show.

Modern Establishment of Competitive Combat Arts (2007-2014)

Ghost from the Past

In October of 2007, MECCA was under siege by The House of Lords, who were in a struggle against MECCA's loyalists and former co-owner Katie Piehl. The House of Lords' female members were Leach's old acquaintances Lisa Letty and Shadow. At Scared Stiff, Shadow won the MECCA Ladies' World Championship for the third time from Shelirious. But her victory was marred somewhat on the next Go Time as Naomi Leach made her MECCA debut and attacked her old rival. Naomi and Shadow would clash over the next several weeks as the House of Lords' feud against the MECCA loyalists heated up. A Best of Five series for control of the company was booked for End of the Line in December, which included Shadow defending her title against Leach. Shadow accidentally got herself disqualified during the match, which saved her title but cost the House of Lords an important match.

However, Shadow would not hold gold for long as Katie Piehl grew weary of her taking count-out and disqualification losses to save her title and had it vacated in early 2008. Naomi continued to work her way toward a title shot, and got a chance along with many of the other women. Piehl booked a women's Four Corners tag match at The MECCA Challenge IV, where partners were picked randomly and the winners would go on to face one another at New Dawn the next month to wrestle for the vacant championship. Leach drew Lisa Letty as her partner, and would go on to win the match when Naomi submitted Coquette. Naomi went on to become champion after beating Letty at New Dawn, and Shadow immediately positioned herself for a title shot, having never been beaten for the belt. Naomi beat Shadow at Punked Out. Shadow was in a rage once again, and told Katie Piehl to give her a rematch and physically threatened her if she wouldn't. Fed up with Shadow's constant whining and complaining over the years, Katie gave her the rematch but if she lost she would never receive a title shot again, against anyone who held the Ladies' Title. Shadow accepted, and blindsided Katie as soon as her back was turned. The rematch took place the next week, with Katie Piehl overseeing it. When Shadow got her foot on the ropes while caught in Naomi's submission, Katie knocked her foot off before the ref could see it and Shadow had to tap out.

A Champion, A Target

After the defense at Punked Out, Naomi was congratulated and then blindsided by the formerly friendly and peppy Kelly Schweickart. Kelly felt overlooked and forgotten while she was out with her injury and didn't want to come back only to be the "champion's friend" while watching everyone else get title shots. After Kelly won a title shot at Liberty or Death, Naomi tried to attack her on the following Go Time and get some payback, but she was stopped by Sara Del Rey. The next week, Leach confronted Kelly again, and was held back again by Del Rey before being cheapshotted. She helped Kelly humiliate Leach before leaving with her. Despite their new alliance, Kelly went at it with Naomi by herself at Summertime Showdown and appeared to win the title after hitting Naomi with a chain and pinning her. But Naomi was conscious enough to tell the ref to check her, and the chain was found. The match was restarted, and Naomi got the pin on Kelly after putting her feet on the ropes. Kelly was enraged and demanded a rematch, and Katie Piehl booked an Anything Goes match for At Your Own Risk. Leach won the match after using Kelly's chain to choke her out with a submission hold.

After the event, Kelly's new ally Sara Del Rey began looking for a title shot of her own. She got her shot at Scared Stiff after pinning Leach in a tag team match, but was unable to win the title, having won the match by disqualification. Del Rey began teaming with up and coming wrestler Sassy Stephie and they faced off against their respective rivals Leach and Ashley Lane at No Regrets. Stephie won the match by pinning Leach after taking down her own partner to make sure she didn't get the fall. This earned Stephie a title shot at End of the Line, but Leach once again retained. Del Rey finally received her rematch at Ignition and finally dethroned Naomi to become the new champion.

Getting Back to the Top

Leach received her rematch on Go Time: Championship Edition, but the match got out of hand and went to a double count-out. Leach worked her way back into contention over the next couple of months as Del Rey took care of other challengers. Katie Piehl made the decision for the first time ever to make the MECCA Challenge match at The MECCA Challenge V be for the Ladies' Championship. Naomi was named the number one contender and signed a contract to face Del Rey on the March 25 Go Time. Del Rey would win the match, however, after utilizing the special rules and using the ropes to choke Leach into unconsciousness. With no imminent title shot incoming, Leach spent the next few months rebuilding her career and re-establishing herself with victories. By the time No Regrets rolled around, Naomi's old rival Shadow had been released from her bans on title shots and was now the Ladies' Champion. Shadow's change of attitude reconciled her with Naomi, who won a Triangle match to become number one contender on November 4. But a couple of weeks before their match, Naomi was injured during training. Allison Danger would win a match to become the new number one contender. She would win the title from Shadow, and form The Triumvirate, revealing it was she who injured Naomi with the sole purpose of taking her title shot.

Naomi made her return on Go Time: Championship Edition in February 2010, attacking Danger after her match until the Triumvirate came out to pull her to safety. Leach stated she was back to collect the title shot she was owed, but Danger wasn't going to give it up easily. She stated if Naomi wanted a title shot, she would have to defeat other Triumvirate members Sassy Stephie and Zoe Alexander first. Naomi defeated Stephie the next week, but lost to Alexander at Six-Man Melee after interference from a mysterious luchadora, who was clearly Danger in disguise. "Luchadora the Explorer" would continue to plague Danger's rivals for the next few weeks. However, Naomi was able to secure another title shot when she won a Four Corners match at Kick Start, and Katie Piehl booked the match for The MECCA Challenge VI. The Triumvirate tried to interfere in the match, but were stopped by Shadow and Daizee Haze, allowing Naomi to finish Danger off and win back the Ladies' Title.

Danger was able to secure her rematch in the coming weeks, but Daizee was also in search of a title shot. She won a Falls Count Anywhere match against Danger at New Dawn, and Katie Piehl made a Triangle match for Go Time on the following Go Time, and Naomi was able to win the match and retain her title. Nevaeh was the next woman to step up and challenge Naomi, and they met at Punked Out. Naomi won the match, even though the referee did not see Nevaeh's foot on the ropes during the pin. An enraged Nevaeh attacked Leach in retaliation after the match. They met again in a non-title match on the following Go Time. This time Naomi got her foot on the ropes during the pin, but Nevaeh pulled it off before the ref could see it and got the win. She received her rematch for the title in a Best Two out of Three Falls match at Never Say Die, with Naomi finally getting the clean win. Leach was then confronted by her former mentor LuFisto on August 11, who stated she would petition Katie for a title shot if she won her match that night. Naomi said she didn't need to make a petition, and it would be an honor to defend against her. LuFisto said she would accept that offer only if she won, and did. The two met at Summertime Showdown, with Naomi winning a hard fought match.

In September, Naomi and LuFisto found themselves under attack by the alliance of Sassy Stephie and Amber O'Neal. They attacked and injured LuFisto, putting her out of MECCA, and Naomi was out for revenge. She defended the title against O'Neal at At Your Own Risk, but was disqualified when she refused to release O'Neal from her submission hold. During MECCA's first ever tour of Japan, Naomi would then take on the legendary Mariko Yoshida, losing the title to her on October 1. However, the rematch took place the next night at a Pro Wrestling WAVE event, and Naomi won the title back. On October 6, she put away Amber O'Neal clean on Go Time. But Sassy Stephie wanted her shot, and got a title match at Scared Stiff. Stephie nearly won, but Naomi got a single finger on the ropes. Naomi would come back and get the win, causing Stephie to lose it and destroy the ringside area. She was obsessed with Naomi's finger, and attacked her again after losing a rematch on November 11. An enraged Stephie grabbed a pair of box cutters and tied Naomi's hand in the ropes, attempting to slice off her finger. Officials were able to intervene, but Naomi was still badly hurt. This caused Leach to request that Stephie not be fired, and wanted one more match with her. That match took place at No Regrets, with Stephie utilizing Naomi's injured hand to score the upset and win the Ladies' Title.

Holding On to Glory

Naomi would try to regain the title over the next few months. She competed in a Six-Woman Shootout at End of the Line for a title shot, but was unsuccessful. Due to her win/loss record in 2010 being the best, she was granted a title shot against Stephie on Go Time: Championship Edition in February 2011, but Stephie knocked Naomi out with the title belt in order to win. With a number of challengers looking for a title shot, Katie Piehl made a Four Corners match for The MECCA Challenge VII with Stephie defending against Leach, Nevaeh, and Portia Perez. Naomi was taken out during the match, and Stephie was able to get a quick pin on Perez. Nevaeh would go on to become the Ladies' Champion the next month, and in July Naomi approached her about a title shot. Nevaeh agreed to give her one out of respect, but their subsequent match at Summertime Showdown was thrown out after Stephie and Perez came out to ruin it. Nevaeh and Naomi wanted their revenge, and faced off against Stephie and Portia in a tag team Tables Match at At Your Own Risk. They were defeated by Portia and Stephie, and Portia would go on to win the Ladies' Title from Nevaeh the next month. Naomi wasted no time in making her bid for a title shot, and challenged Portia at No Regrets. But Portia took the easy way out and walked out when she realized she couldn't beat Naomi, getting counted out so she could keep her title. They met in a Lumberjill Match at End of the Line, but Portia came out on top after Naomi was laid out by Stephie on the concrete floor.

Naomi kept her head down and kept working hard to get back into contention, and at The MECCA Challenge VIII, she won a Six-Woman Shootout on the countdown show. This catapulted her into contention for the Ladies' Title, which was now once again held by Sassy Stephie, who had become a fan favorite. Disgusted at this, Naomi used devious tactics to pin Stephie at New Dawn and once again become Ladies' Champion. Stephie called her out on the next episode of Go Time, and Naomi stated that she remembered Stephie trying to cut off her finger two years before, and the fact that the fans were now cheering for her made her sick. Naomi then attacked Stephie until officials arrived to pull her off. Stephie received a rematch for the title at Punked Out, but Naomi retained after a debuting Jessicka Havok laid out the challenger, allowing Naomi to get the pin. She next defended it against another newcomer, Jennifer Blake, and beat her at Never Say Die in July.

After taking exception to Naomi retaining the title over her in a Four Corners Match at Summertime Showdown, Caroline Couture was the next woman to challenge the champ. Couture got the win in a non-title match on August 29, which earned her a title match in Japan on the September 12 episode of Go Time. Naomi used some veteran trickery to retain the title, and Couture was hot about it. She wanted one more shot, and earned one for Scared Stiff, where she finally defeated Naomi for the Ladies' Title. Naomi wanted the belt back, however, and continued to try and win and harangue officials to get a rematch. She received one against Couture long with Jessicka Havok and Kellie Skater in a Four Corners Match at End of the Line, but it was Skater who walked away with the belt. With Naomi and Couture yet to settle their issue, a Submission Match was booked for Ignition in early 2013, with Couture managing to tap out Naomi and winning their feud. Despite this, Naomi's 2012 win/loss record netted her a title match against Skater on Go Time: Championship Edition, but Skater intentionally got herself disqualified to keep the belt. Naomi continued to strive for another title shot, along with every other woman in MECCA, and the entire division was put into a Gauntlet Match at The MECCA Challenge IX, with the winner immediately facing champion Melissa Flash for the title. Naomi entered late in the match against Jessicka Havok, but was unceremoniously counted out and eliminated.

After a few months, Naomi came up with a plan to get the title back. She helped back up champion Melissa Flash on several occasions, and they entered into a rivalry with Caroline Couture and Nicole Matthews. It culminated in a tag team strap match at At Your Own Risk in September, a match that Flash and Naomi won. However, Naomi brutally attacked the champion after the match with the strap, choking her out and resulting in her having to receive medical attention in the back. Naomi did this knowing full well she could goad Melissa into putting the title on the line against her. They met for the belt at Scared Stiff the next month, but Flash managed to beat the veteran. Seeing her title aspirations slip away once again, Naomi attacked Flash with the belt afterwards and absconded with it, knowing Flash wouldn't rest until she regained possession of it. Naomi managed to keep the belt away from Flash for a whole month before meeting her, Skater, and Serena Deeb in a Four Corners title match at No Regrets. In the confusion, Naomi once again left with the belt, but Flash was given another match against her on the following Go Time. Flash dropped Naomi on her head with the Kudo Driver, putting her out of action, and pinning her to finally take back possession of the title.

Naomi returned to action a few weeks later, and entered into a rivalry with Serena Deeb. They each got a win over the other, but it was Deeb who came out on top in the rubber match on the April 16 episode of Go Time. Naomi teamed with The Peacemakers to face Deeb, Kenny Omega, and Amazing Red on the countdown show of The MECCA Challenge X, but were unsuccessful. Naomi continued to compete over the next few months, but had trouble securing a title shot as Jessicka Havok won the belt and enlisted the help of her friends in The Midwest Militia to run roughshod over the ladies' division. When Melissa Flash finally won the title back in August, Naomi saw her opportunity. She strung together a few wins and challenged Melissa on the September 17 episode of Go Time. She lost, but beat down Flash after the match with help from her new love interest Terrence Bolton, who had just betrayed Flash's boyfriend, the Legacy Champion Aaron Glover, a few weeks before. At At Your Own Risk, Naomi was instrumental in Bolton defeating Glover to win the MECCA Legacy Championship. Bolton would interfere in Glover's petition matches where he would attempt to get a rematch over the next couple of weeks, but on the October 15 episode of Go Time, Cynric made a mixed tag with Glover and Flash facing Bolton and Naomi, with Glover getting his rematch if his team won. Glover and Flash were victorious after miscommunication on the part of Naomi and Bolton, which caused Bolton to dump her on the next week's Go Time.

Retirement

Some time before her contract expired, Naomi decided to retire from the ring when it ended. In her final match, she lost to Dolly Myles on the November 21 episode of Blast Zone before taking a position as a trainer at the MECCA Wrestling Camp.
