Ya know, the biggest thing in the heart of a cowboy...isn't the ridin, ropin or the wranglin. He rides the range, going about his business, alot of thinkin goin on.
Somewhere out on that trail, his life has met that ONE special gal. You know the one. Like the call of the open range, she's everywhere, nowhere to be seen.
Searchin all day, bustin the sod, yer mind takes ya back where her love was fond of you and your wild heart ways...laid back to most, but she knows you best.
You're not like the rest, you're gentle and true, strong as a mule, and with her your not a fool. The evening sun sets deep in the west, you settle down to rest.
The stars come out, they twinkle and shine, and like a blanket, you and your baby are under that same night sky, giving you comfort that she is still with you.
Just like a hard days ride, she's still there waitin by your side. Like the beauty of God's green earth, you've measured her value and considered her worth.
As far as the east is from the west, you count yourself happy and blessed. Cuz she is your baby, ya don't mean maybe...She won your heart, no contest.
Even when you are sad and blue, you know she's going to be there, truer than true, because your baby, she knows you.
Even when she is lonely there without you, your hearts are together like the morning grass and soft glistening dew, you know she loves you.
