Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

It's Out

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a game that is came out for the Playstation console this October. The game is flooded with tricks and trick combinations. This game looks like the best skateboarding game for any console. Street Sk8er sucked and Skate or Die was too primative. Now that this is coming out rainy days will be more fun. Virtually everything in the game is skateable. You can do rails, roof gaps, and bust it out in the empty pools you find along the way. Each area also contains secret paths , ramps, and hard to reach spots. The game has three single player modes: Practice, Career, And Single Session and three two player modes: Trick, Graffitti, and Horse. Graffitti is everywhere you perform a trick is painted the color representing your skater. As your player falls blood appears and splatters on the ground.
The Skaters:
Tony Hawk
Bob Burnquist
Bucky Lasek
Chad Muska
Kareem Campbell
Rune Glifberg
Jamie Thomas
Andrew Reynolds
Geoff Rowley
Elissa Steamer
Each skater has his own style, trick set and signature moves. Kareem Campbell will probably be very technical and Jamie Thomas will probably do crazy stuff!
The Skatespots:
I'm not sure of them all but here are a few:
  • A school in Miami
  • Burnside
  • A skatepark in Chicago
  • A Warehouse in Woodland Hills
  • A mall in New York
  • Downtown Minneapolis
  • Streets San Francisco
  • Roswell (fictional)
The skatespots are real spots that skater's skate. You can basically skate what ever you want in each spot.
    The Demo
You can get a demo for the game for only like $5.00. The demo is called "Playstation Underground Jampack Summer '99" The demo only lets you skate one spot and it's a Skatepark that is setup really nice. I've gotten 10,000 points on the first trick and my best run is 37,000 points. You can only use Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist. Still it's mad cool and you can do two player split screen or single session. Go buy it now it's cool.
