Introducing

The NEW SV-12

Designed specifically for the manufacturing of medical screws and instruments.

The SV-12 was first introduced in the USA at the Westec machine tool show in Los Angeles, California. This machine combines the use of a 3-axis 8-station turret with a 2-axis gang slide and a programmable C-axis main spindle to achieve superb machining capability. Combine that with a C-axis sub-spindle and plenty of overlapping live backworking and back turning, and there is a machine with some incredible versatility. 12,000 RPM spindles, and 10,000 RPM live tools make for machine capable of not only complex machining, but high production, as well!

The machine can perform thread-whirling, polygon turning, cylindrical interpolation, polar interpolation, rigid tapping, deep saw cutting, and much, much more.

Following are some pictures of the tooling and capability available with the SV-12. These may take little while to load, but they are worth it, IMHO.

Here is an angle milling attachment. All of the angle tools are easily set by using a quick program in Head 2 along with a test indicator mounted on a magbase.

Here's a look inside the thread-whirling attachment for the SV-12. This tool allows the manufacture of long, skinnny threads heretofore extremely difficult.
