Maybe sick of the Gameboy Pokémon battles. Maybe you want a fighter game with a twist. Well there's Super Smash Bros. It's basically "Beat 'em up" and that's all there is to it. You never get sick of it since you can always play with friends in a versus mode. There's also secret characters or modes which are fun to get. There are 8 characters which are from all various games. There's Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox and Pikachu. Nintendo really put thought into who they'd pick and what attacks to give them. There are 4 other secret characters. Ness(you might not have heard of him. He's from Earthbound), Luigi, Jigglypuff and Captain Falcon (F-Zero and F-Zero X). There are 8 stages, Peach's Castle, Congo Jungle, Hyrule Castle, Planet Zebes, Yoshi's Island, Dream Land, Sector Z, Saffron City and a secret stage Mushroom Kingdom. Well you basically have to knock the others off the edge. For you to accomplish that you must attack the opponent and raise his percentage. That's really all there is to Smash Bros. Well here's all the little secret's and strategies.

Strategies
Well if you need to win in a versus battle, i suggest Captain Falcon (secret character, i'll explain further down)He is very strong and easy to use. Also you might know that human players jump around alot. Use the Falcon Dive (I call it that, it's really called Explosive Throw or something)Up+B. That is probably second most powerful of Captain Falcon. When you've got someone in a good position. Use Falcon Punch. It's pretty slow and I recommend not to use it, but if you hit, they'll fly.

Well next. I suggest in the tournament, use Kirby or Ness. Kirby if you're a beginner, Ness if you're a pro. (Ness is secret, explained further down) Kirby's Rock thing (Down+B)is very powerful and will make you invincible to any attack other than throws. But I suggest pressing B as soon as you hit. Because there is a chance you may slide of a slant or something. Ness is good because of his PK Thunder (Up+B). You control it and it makes it easy to beat Yoshi Team and The Fighting Polygon Team. One hit and they're gone. PK Thunderwill give you a good come back, turn it around and hit you, that will force you in whatever direction it was going. If you hit someone while flying through the air in the effects of PK Thunder, they will get badly hurt. His PK Fire is a good multiple hit attack. I suggest you use it against Master Hand.

If you think that giving up your own health or life to kill or weaken your opponent. Choose either Ness, Link or Pikachu. Ness' PK Thunder can knock him and the opponent off the edge. Link may take out a bomb (Down+B) and walk up to the opponent and chuck the bomb on the ground. Therefore exploding both of them. Pikachu's Thunder attack would work by jumping off the edge while the opponent is trying to make a comeback. When you're underneath your opponent just hit Down+B and a Thunder will come down and will cut off the comeback. Including yours.

If you want to make a good comeback, choose Kirby, Pikachu or Ness. Kirby can fly and if he's not quite there, just hit Up+B and hold left or Right. Pikachu's Agility will work. As soon as you hit Up+B just move the Joystick in the 2 directions you want to move in. Ness' PK Thunder can hit him back on.

Secrets
Well we'll do the characters first.

Ness-Finish the game on Normal with Stock 3

Captain Falcon-Finish the game under 20 min. on any level or stock.

Jigglypuff-Finish the game.

Luigi-Finish all of Training mode 1 (or 2, i forgot)

You will have to Verse and beat each of them for them to become available.

Secret modes

Sound Test-finish all the Training Modes with everyone including the secret guys.

Item Switch-Fight in Vs mode 50 times.

Now just Mushroom Kingdom. Finish the game with everone, and fight with everyone in Vs mode.
