Hood:
Our Challenger is one of the few SE's (SE = Special Edition) to come with the "Power Bulge" Hood.
The only other hood option for 1970 was the huge "Shaker" scoop. These two hoods were also available
on the Plymouth Barracuda which was almost like the 'brother' car to the Challenger.
The Power Bulge hood definitely gave these cars character but unfortunately did not
give the engine any extra horsepower because the scoops were not open to force extra cool air into
the engine.
Bumper Guards:
This Challenger came with the fairly rare option of rubber bumper guards. These guards are in excellent
condition and are the original rubber inserts that were taken off the bumper when it was re-chromed and were re-applied afterwards.
Many times these inserts are faded, cracked, scratched, etc, etc, etc.
Tires:
The E-bodied cars in 1970 usually came with Goodyear Polyglas tires. A set of these tires today are worth a lot, so if you have a set, keep 'em!! Unfortunately, we do not have the original Goodyear Polyglas tires that came on the Challengers, but we do have
the correct replacement Goodyear Eagle ST tires instead.
Vinyl Top:
All Challenger SE's came with standard vinyl tops for 1970. Ours is the origional top and is in great condition and has no bubbles or tears. It does have one scratch along the driver side, but most people don't notice it unless they're told.
