New WCW Long Overdue for Kidman *WCW.com*

By Nicole Carlucci

Billy Kidman has found himself a new home in the new WCW. Kidman, formerly known as The Kid, couldn't be more excited about returning to the world of sports-entertainment. WCW.com recently got the chance to talk to Kidman about what is going with his career and the newly revamped WCW.

"What is happening (with WCW) has been needing to happen for a long time", said Kidman about the company's reorganization. "There were a lot of problems with talent relations and Time-Warner didn't want to be in wrestling, but the McMahons know what they're doing", Kidman said.

Many superstars have expressed that they feel WCW is much more organized and Kidman agrees. "They actually put time and effort into it, from the lights and pyro to the video packages they put together for the guys, he said. "People want to be involved."

It has been a dream of Kidman's since he was younger to be a part of the Federation. "I used to drive by the tower on my way from Allentown, Pa. to New Haven, Conn., and I always wished I could just go inside. I just wanted to see what it looked like."

Thing were going wrong with WCW the last few years and Kidman was miserable there. "I was doing what I always dreamed of, wrestling, but I hated going to work everyday", he said. After WCW folded he got a break. He was still being paid by Time-Warner but didn't have to work and that was fine with him. Then, after being off for three months, Kidman got the chance to go to a Federation show. "After seeing how things were run I knew I would love coming to work", Kidman said.

Kidman recently got the chance to go back to WCW's old stomping grounds when RAW IS WAR aired live from Atlanta on July 9, 2001. "It was great being back in Atlanta, I used to live there for four or five years when I was part of the old WCW, and it was great to finally see people at our shows."
