The God
The God is the primal source of power, the Lord of the Sun. He is the stag and the hunter, the Horned
God, the Green Man.
He is Pan of the forests, Herne, Cernunnos, Lord of the Greenwood, the Horned God. He is the hawk, the
wolf, the bear. He is Father Sky.
He is the Son, Father, and Sage, Consort of the Lady, Divine Lover and Divine Son. Watch Him be reborn
as the Wheel of the Year turns; He is the light and He is the Sun. Apollo in His chariot.
He is the hunter and the hunted, the predator and the prey. In Him is the seed from which springs the
bounty of the Earth, His lover. The light of the sun is His light, He rules the Wheel of the Year; His death at
Hallow's Eve and His birth at Yule, the peak of His power at Midsummer's.
Look at Him; see in Him all that is radiant, all that is the light. He whispers to you from the forest; His eyes
watch you as the eyes of the stag. He is the Father of All, the Lord of the Sun. His fires are the holy fires,
the cleansing, the warming and caring fires that keep the Earth warm and alive. Without Him, there would
be no life.
He is also the Dark God. Anubis, the jackal God of the Dead. He is the Warrior who rights wrongs, the
black knight, the eclipse of the Sun. He will fight for the lives of His children and He will protect them from
harm. When you are afraid, call on Him to protect you. You will face that which terrifies you and see it in
full light, see why you were afraid of it--and will emerge the stronger. He is the strength that will carry you
beyond what you thought you could do, beyond all limits. He is the God.
