Last game: Ohio State 40, Ohio University 16

Next game: Oct. 2nd- Wisconsin at Ohio State

Rambo helped the Buckeyes overcome a 17-3 hole, and helped John Cooper win his 100th game as OSU coach. Coach Cooper will probably not be mad at Rambo for running into him during the 3rd quarter.

For second straight week, Buckeyes start off sluggishly.

For Buckeye fans these second half explosions are getting to a trend for the OSU team. Last week, OSU was tied with the Ohio Bobcats at halftime 10-10. And this week, the Buckeyes found themselves down 17-3 to the Cincinnati Bearcats. These were the same Bearcats that had upset Wisconsin last week.

Were the Buckeyes going to be the second victim to the Bearcats? That thought probably ran through every OSU fans' mind as they sat at the 'Shoe or watched at home.

But, like last week, the Buckeyes turned it on and never looked back. The offense exploded after a missed Cincinnati field goal, probably the turning point in the game. Right after the missed three points, the Buckeyes offense got rolling and never looked back. The game was a little too close for comfort, but the Buckeyes were most likely looking ahead to Wisconsin and Purdue. And then of course, there's number two Penn State around the corner.

The win was a milestone for Buckeye head coach John Cooper. It was his 100th win as Buckeye coach. He's the second winngest coach in school history behind Woody Hayes.

Still another offensive explosion later in the game.

It took the Buckeyes offense a quarter and a half to finally get rolling on Saturday. But once they did, they never looked back. The offense gained 263 yards through the air, and 233 on the ground for a total of 496 yards.

Bellisari, in his second start of his young career, struggled somewhat in the game. He completed only 8 of 22 pass attempts, but had 197 yards and 1 touchdown. That one touchdown was a 59 yard bomb to Ken-Yon Rambo. Bellisari also had an eleven yard run for his first rushing touchdown.

Rambo continues to be the bright spot in the OSU offense. He had only 3 catches, but had 164 yards and the one touchdown. His other two catches also set up OSU scores. Micheal Wiley had 95 yards on 18 carries and 1 touchdown. He also completed a 50 yard pass to Rambo to set up a score.

Still another offensive explosion later in the game.

The defense was probably, most likely, looking ahead to next week. Ron Dayne, a hesiman trophy candidate invades the 'Shoe next week. So it understandable that the defense let up more yards than the offense had.

Cincinnati had 343 passing yards and 182 rushing yards for a total of 525 yards. The Bearcats scored their touchdowns on a long pass play and a long run by the Bearcats QB.

Jason Ott and Gary Berry both had interceptions. Nate Clements and Ott lead the team with 11 tackles each. Linebacker Na'il Diggs added ten for the Buckeyes.
