PLACE THAT CREATES A ONENESS OF THOUGHT AND ENERGY.
THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM 
Here is where we are going to literally open your mind so that you may find your own special way to connect to Spirit. Be it a connection from deep within your own center of higher wisdom (sub-conscious level reception), the wisdom of those who have a higher or different perspective (outside reception of guides, angels, deceased beings, etc..) or even the wisdom of the Universal Mind (super-conscious, God Mind, The Void, etc…) you will need to remember a few key tips:
1) Realize that you can never be absolutely certain where what you receive is actually coming from. If the material is viable, loving, has the ring of Truth, helps someone, and creates an uplifting vibration then it is from some higher source. Does the exact source really matter? Possibly not. It is the message rather than the messenger that is important. All material that degrades, orders, induces fear, coerces, or creates feelings of disharmony and depression must be questioned. If the message does not feel good then it usually isn't of a good source! "By their fruits shall ye know them."
2) Remember to always attune yourself to an ideal of truth, integrity, love, and gratitude. By doing this, you raise your own vibration and therefore you open channels to the highest level of wisdom available to you. The higher you are attuned, the higher the source of knowledge. To enter the world of channeling without attuning to your highest ideals may create problems via the sources that you connect to. Never should the skill be used to mislead, manipulate, coerce, or conduct any unethical purpose. The mental patterning that this type of endeavor induces places one in a lower vibrational range, therefore the source will not be one which/who will lead you to a higher plateau of wisdom! Many have done much harm through learning to channel with the wrong intent inherent in their hearts. Much of it was to themselves in the long run!
3) Each person has an innate type of ability. To work with your innate type of ability will naturally make the learning process much easier. If you are someone who sees most concepts visually in your head, then consider that your easiest mode of operation will probably be visual. However if your idea and concepts come mainly through thoughts, then try clairaudient methods first. If Spirit is ready to work with and through you, then it will help find the channels to do so. Ask that you be led into that which is your best way to work with Spirit.
4) There is a direct correlation between what you are spiritually 'grown' enough to handle and what you will receive. Actually, in my opinion, you may find that you will need to work on your own spiritual growth and understanding in order to proceed to higher and higher levels of reception. Much of the time this happens as you work to connect and learn more and more through the contact with Spirit, but often you will not progress unless you clean your own house of cobwebs. Do not be discourage at first if the information that you receive does not seem of great importance or highly evolved. As the channel themselves elevate their own vibration through knowledge, understanding, and a cleansing of the 'temple' in terms of ridding themselves of negativity, then the higher wisdom may be attuned into/from them.
5) Practice, practice, practice!!! As with any skill that many never master, this is not a skill that most achieve with minimal effort. Again, depending upon your level of innate ability, spiritual (energetic) vibration, approach, and other factors, this may be a long haul to achieve great competency. Personally it took me five years to reach the point where I felt that I had a good control, understanding of the process, and the quality of connection that I wanted. Not a hobby for those easily discouraged!
6) Learn the fine balance between faith and gullibility. There is much faith that has to go into learning to trust yourself, your source, and the outcome of your endeavors. However, one must not allow themselves to be open to gullibility in believing everything that one may receive without using the safeguards of reason, discernment between reality and fantasy, and the action that may be in your own best interest. Also, it is not ethical to let those who you may dispense channeled information to not know that they too must use their own inner testing systems as to whether this FEELS like truth to them. Many sad stories have occurred due to those who trusted too implicitly in whatever they heard at the mouths of psychics and channels without doing a gullibility check. Since this is by no means an exact science, there can be no exact perimeters set as to what is accurate, but the fine line between faith and gullibility should help provide barrier enough for protection.
These are just a few of the most important tips that we need to start with. On page seven we will start with a few techniques that seem to help people begin their connection process. Some people will find their connections easily and get immediate results that encourage them. Some may find that they must struggle and remain optimistic even though it seems that they aren't getting anywhere. Still others may find that what innate abilities that they have will be enhanced and that they have had a connection that they have been taking for granted. [Personally, after I worked consciously to open my channels of clairaudience, it occurred to me that I had heard these "voices" on and off my whole life. I had just thought they were "normal". (For me they were!) ] Others may even find a great surprise waiting for them. Jack Pursel, the man who channels an entity identified as Lazaris, had no intention of opening to channel. He was trying to practice meditation. One day during his meditation he began to speak for Lazaris! Therefore, never preclude what it is you will achieve. Work with an open mind, allow the process to unfold as it will, and keep the avenues open to that which may be manifested through you. "Knock, and the door shall be opened."
