Duties of the
President
The President is responsible for:
- Presiding over Executive Board and General Meetings.
- Appointing and establishing any necessary committees.
- Acting as a consultant to all committees.
- Maintaining the Five-Star Membership Program for the Chapter in conjunction with the
Executive board and Advisors.
- Developing the agenda for the Executive and General Meetings
- Representing the Chapter at College functions.
- Meeting regularly with the advisors to maintain Chapter goals.
- Serving as a liaison between officers, members, and advisors.
- Assuming responsibility for Hallmark award entries:
- Assigning writing tasks
- Establishing schedule/deadline
- Determining Hallmark entries in conjunction with Executive Board and advisors
- Assisting with submission preparation (proofreading and revisions)
- Preparing final copies and cover sheets for mailing and copies for advisors
- Mailing awards packet by designated deadline
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities
Duties of the Vice
President of Scholarship
The Vice President of Scholarship is responsible for:
- Assisting the President in his/her duties.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to the Constitution.
- Assisting the President with Hallmark Award entries.
- Presiding over the Executive Board and General Meetings in the absence of the President.
- Planning a comprehensive scholarship program pertaining to the International Honors
Study Topic.
- Directing and overseeing all projects related to the Scholarship Hallmark through
completion.
- Organizing and assisting with the preparation of Hallmark Scholarship Awards in
conjunction with the Chapter President.
- Providing Public Relations Officer with articles and updates on Scholarship activities
for the quarterly newsletter.
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities.
Duties of the Vice
President of Service
The Vice President of Service is responsible for:
- Assisting the President with his/her duties.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to the Constitution.
- Assisting the President with Hallmark Award entries.
- Planning service projects designed to benefit members, college, and community.
- Planning a comprehensive college project.
- Directing and overseeing all Chapter Service Projects through to completion.
- Organizing and assisting with the preparation of Hallmark Service Awards in conjunction
with the Chapter President.
- Providing the Public Relations Officer with articles and updates on Service Projects for
the quarterly newsletter.
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities.
Duties of the Vice
President of Leadership
The Vice President of Leadership is responsible for:
- Assisting the President with his/her duties.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to the Constitution.
- Assisting the President with the Hallmark Awards entries.
- In conjunction with the Vice President of Fellowship, assuming responsibility for New
Members Orientation and Inductions:
- Compiling all necessary information sheets and membership with appropriate input and
consideration
- Selecting and secure guest speaker
- Selecting honorary members with advisors input
- Planning decorations
- Inviting special guests
- Securing candles, flowers, programs, etc.
- Assisting the Vice President of Fellowship with planning reception after induction.
- Directing all chapter Leadership Projects through to completion.
- Planning a comprehensive leadership program.
- Organizing and assisting with the preparation of Hallmark Leadership Awards with the
Chapter President.
- Providing Public Relations Officer with articles and updates on Leadership activities
for the quarterly newsletter.
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities.
Duties of the Vice
President of Fellowship
The Vice President of Fellowship is responsible for:
- Assisting the President with his/her duties.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to the Constitution.
- Assisting the President with Hallmark Award entries.
- In conjunction with the Vice President of Leadership, assuming responsibility for New
Members Orientations and Inductions:

Duties of the Public
Relations Officer
The Public Relations Officer is responsible for:
- Publishing the quarterly newsletter.
- Working with all officers, members, and advisors for newsletter articles and ideas.
- Creating and printing the program for inductions.
- Submitting press releases to the Columbus Statement, the Buckeye, and
other community newspapers.
- Creating, printing, and mailing any miscellaneous Chapter information as needed
throughout the year.
- Maintaining a Chapter Marketing Plan.
- Creating campus-wide promotions.
- Maintaining the chapter website and e-newsletter.
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities.
Duties of the
Fundraising Officer
The Fundraising Officer is responsible for:
- Planning at least one major fundraising activity each quarter.
- Following each fundraising activity through completion:
- Keeping accurate records of items purchased
- Keeping accurate records of monies collected
- Turning money into advisor promptly
- Providing the Public Relations Officer with articles and updates on fundraising projects
for the quarterly newsletter.
- Working with the Student Coordinator to prepare a statement of financial standing for
each general meeting.
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities.
Duties of the
Historian
The Historian is responsible for:
- Collecting pictures, publications, and any memorabilia for forming a yearbook.
- Putting together a yearbook.
- Making sure that pictures are taken at every event.
- Supporting the Hallmark Award Essays.
- Attending and supporting Chapter activities.
