Descendants of Richard Cleypole
We don't know a lot about Richard Cleypole, but he had a son John, who had a son James, who had a son Adam, who was a Knight. Adam married Dorothy Wingfield who was descended from Royalty.
Adam and Dorothy had a son John who had sons John and James. John married Elizabeth, the sister of Oliver Cromwell. She died young and there were no living offspring. James, the immigrant to America, was a close friend of William Penn and acquired a large amount of land in Pennsylvania. He arrived here 6 October 1683, on the ship Concord. James and Helena Mercer Claypoole had 14 children.

Much greater detail of this family is available on the web.Their son James, who married Mary Cann is the ancestor of our Hardy County (West) Virginia Claypools. He settled in New Castle, Delaware and apparently lived in Rockingham County, Virginia; his son, another James settled in Hardy County, Virginia, but both he and his wife were born in Rockingham County, Virginia.His son John fathered Aaron Claypool who migrated to Licking County (The big county in the center of Ohio) in the early 1800's.
